Richard Shulman suggests the difference between the more radicalized Muslims (Islamists) and "moderate" Muslims is one of degree, not kind. "...the Islamists have gotten most of their co-religionists to accept their more extreme position against the Jews - to murder them rather than just to humiliate them. "
He concludes that "...the mass of Muslims are not moderate in their views, just inactive and amenable to being activated."
