Career FBI agent Bassem Youssef told a House Judiciary Committee subcommittee Wednesday, "The FBI counter-terrorism division is ill-equipped to handle the terrorist threat we are facing." Youssef said that counter-terrorism agents and managers at FBI headquarters often lack basic knowledge about Middle Eastern culture, language and terrorists' ideology. The result is that agents are wasting resources chasing leads that more sophisticated observers would quickly dispense with. The time and energy expended on marginal cases has diverted resources from investigating more substantial threats, he said.

The son of immigrant Christian Egyptians and a decorated counter-terrorism agent, Youssef has long been the highest-ranking Arab American agent in the FBI and one of its few native Arabic speakers. He was passed over for promotions after the Sept. 11 attacks, and filed a lawsuit in 2003 claiming the bureau discriminated against him based on his ancestry.

Al-Qaeda threatens President Bush

Al-Qaida's Adam Gadahn, one of the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorists, is urging his fellow Muslims to meet President Bush with bombs when he visits the Middle East, according to a new video posted on the Internet Sunday.

Although Adam Gadahn is U.S.-born, he dramatically tore up his U.S. passport as part of a symbolic protest against the U.S. in the nearly hour-long hystrionical tape, showing his excessive emotionality and attention-seeking personality disorder.

The release comes just three days before Bush is scheduled to arrive in Israel for a weeklong trip that will also bring him to the West Bank, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt as part of his push for an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement ( Fat chance of that ever happening. ) Adam Gadahn said:

"Now we direct an urgent call to our militant brothers in Muslim Palestine and the Arab peninsula ... to be ready to receive the Crusader slayer Bush in his visit to Muslim Palestine and the Arab peninsula in the beginning of January and to receive him not with flowers or clapping but with bombs and booby-trapped vehicles," Gadahn said in Arabic.

I am pleased that Gadahn delineated that there was once an entity known as Muslim Palestine because the fact of the matter is that there was also once a Jewish Palestine. Muslims just like Adam Gadahn rejected the partition when they were offered it, Jews accepted it; now Muslims have regrets, and Jews have Israel. Muslims just like Adam Gadahn started a war with the civilized world, now they must pay the consequences.

Get a good look at Adam Gadahn, everyone. He is why we are over there, so that Muslim mass murderers like Adam Gadahn don't cut our heads off over here.

FBI: Al-Qaeda May Strike U.S. Shopping Malls in LA, Chicago

The FBI is warning that al-Qaeda may be preparing a series of holiday attacks on U.S. shopping malls in Los Angeles and Chicago, according to an intelligence report distributed to law enforcement authorities Thursday. The alert said al-Qaeda "hoped to disrupt the U.S. economy and has been planning the attack for the past two years."

SEATTLE: The FBI is asking for the public’s help to identify two men who have been seen acting suspiciously aboard Washington State ferries recently. The FBI released a bulletin late Monday, including photographs of the two men. One of the photos shows the men side-by-side and the other is a solo shot of one of them. They were snapped by a ferry employee who thought the pair acted suspiciously. “They had more than the average interest in the working parts of the ferry, the layout of the ferry, the size of it — more than you would see in normal passenger,” said FBI spokesperson Robbie Burroughs.

Anyone who knows the men or their whereabouts are asked to call the FBI at (206) 622-0460.

Mission accomplished: wanted Al Qaeda barbarian killed

We're finally taking the gloves off and really fighting this war. The suspected Al Qaeda barbarian, Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, who planned the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in east Africa was killed in an American airstrike in Somalia, assisted by Ethiopia and Somalia, an official said Wednesday. Mohammed allegedly planned the attacks on the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania that killed 225 people. He is also suspected of planning the car bombing of a beach resort in Kenya and the near simultaneous attempt to shoot down an Israeli airliner in 2002. Ten Kenyans and three Israelis were killed in the blast at the hotel, 12 miles north of Mombasa. The missiles missed the airliner. Mohammed is thought to have been the main target of an American helicopter attack Monday afternoon on Badmadow island off southern Somalia.

The two days of airstrikes by U.S. forces were the first American offensives in the African country since 18 U.S. soldiers were killed there in 1993.

U.S. strikes Al Qaeda members linked to 1998 Embassy bombings

This is good news. Finally, we're taking the gloves off and really fighting this war. The news media are reporting that a U.S. Air Force gunship has conducted a strike against suspected members of al Qaeda in Somalia. The targets included the senior al Qaeda leader in East Africa and an al Qaeda operative wanted for his involvement in the 1998 bombings of two American embassies in Africa. In the August 7, 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings, 257 people were killed and over 4,000 wounded in simultaneous car bomb explosions at the United States embassies in the East African capital cities of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya. Al Qaeda was deemed responsible for the attack. This also resulted in the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation placing bin Laden on its Ten Most Wanted list, which by the way, is populated with only Muslims. If the attack got the operatives it was aimed at, it would deal a major blow to al Qaeda in East Africa.

A non-governmental youth and student group affiliated with the United Nations, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) defines itself as "an independent organization and Islamic forum that supports the work of Muslim organizations and needy communities the world over." While WAMY's international headquarters are located in Saudi Arabia, the organization also maintains satellite chapters in 55 additional countries and is affiliated with some 500 other Muslim youth groups on five continents.

Specifically, WAMY aims to achieve the following: “Preserve the identity of Muslim youth and help overcome the problems they face in modern society”; “educate and train them in order for them to become active and positive citizens in their countries”; “introduce Islam to non-Muslims in its purest form as a comprehensive system and way of life”; “establish a relationship of dialogue, understanding and appreciation between Muslim organizations and the western societies”; and “provide assistance to Muslim and non-Muslim organizations to fulfil [sic] these goals through training and cooperation.”

Toward these ends, WAMY holds regional and local Muslim youth and student camps; helps to establish Muslim scout groups; organizes conferences, symposia, workshops and research circles “to address youth and students issues”; publishes books, brochures, reports, and exhibition material “that best introduce Islam to non-Muslims in its holistic vision”; organizes exchange visits, Hajj and Umra trips; and provides training and support to Muslim youth organizations around the world. These activities have earned WAMY the designation of “humanitarian and relief-works organization” from the United Nations.

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth is also one of the vehicles through which the Saudi Wahhabi government funds Islamic extremism and international terrorism. WAMY was co-founded by Kamal Helwabi, a former senior member of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, and by Osama bin Laden's nephew, Abdullah bin Laden (who served as WAMY's President through 2002 and is now its Treasurer). WAMY raises funds for the terrorist group Hamas, and in October 2002 made Hamas leader Khaled Mash'al an “honored guest” at a Muslim youth and globalization conference held in Riyadh. WAMY also helps finance the Kashmir insurgency against India, characterizing it as a "liberation" movement.

A Saudi opposition group reports that WAMY disseminates literature encouraging “religious hatred and violence against Jews, Christians, Shi’a and Ashaari Muslims.” As WAMY puts it, this literature is expressly designed "to teach our children to love taking revenge on the Jews and the oppressors, and teach them that our youngsters will liberate Palestine and Jerusalem when they go back to Islam and make jihad for the sake of Allah." Some WAMY publications have included interviews with Saudi clerics such as Ayed al-Qarni, an adviser to Saudi Prince Fahd. In one such interview, al-Qarni stated that he prays for America's destruction daily, that he encourages students to go to Iraq to fight against U.S. forces, and that those who cannot go should at least contribute money to the cause. Another WAMY publication features a list of "martyrs" who have attacked and murdered Israelis; one of the individuals on this list is a man who drove 14 bus passengers off a cliff as a member of the group "Heroes from Palestine."

Investigations of the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center uncovered, in an apartment of one of the terrorists, an envelope marked "WAMY" along with a training manual on how to set up terrorist cells in other countries and stage attacks.WAMY came under FBI scrutiny after 9/11, when it was determined that a radiologist, Dr. Al Badr al-Hamzi, whose credit card was found among the possessions of the hijackers, was receiving funding from the organization. The Senate Finance Committee requested that the IRS examine WAMY's U.S. branch for links to terrorism. WAMY was also named in a trillion-dollar lawsuit by the families of the victims of 9/11.

In May 2004, federal law-enforcement, immigration, and anti-terrorism agents raided WAMY's Alexandria, Virginia office, seizing all of its computers and hard drives, and arresting a volunteer board member on immigration charges. WAMY had been operating out of the office of Jamal Barzinji, who was involved with a total of seven organizations that were raided by federal agents in connection with terrorist financing. After the raid on its office, WAMY likened itself to the YMCA, saying that it was interested only in "youth education, youth development, and serving the Muslim community."

Though WAMY's activities in the United States were derailed, its operations elsewhere in the world continue unabated -- in many instances with the help of other, likeminded organizations. For example, WAMY's efforts in Somalia are supported by the "Christian charities" Novib and Oxfam, which are based in the United Kingdom and Holland, respectively.

One of WAMY's closest affiliates is the European Council for Fatwa and Research, which aims to spread fundamentalist Islam and implement Shari'a (Islamic Law) worldwide. Another organization with intimate ties to WAMY is the Muslim Students' Association of the U.S. and Canada. And four directors of the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) -- including Anwar Ibrahim, a terror-supporting Malaysian Islamist who co-founded IIIT -- are trustees of WAMY.

In December 1999, WAMY announced at a press conference in Saudi Arabia that it "was extending both moral and financial support to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) "to help it construct its $3.5 million headquarters in Washington, D.C." WAMY also agreed to "introduce CAIR to Saudi philanthropists and recommend their financial support for the headquarters project." In 2002, CAIR and WAMY jointly announced, again from Saudi Arabia, their collaboration on a $1 million public-relations campaign.

Islam scholar Stephen Schwartz calls WAMY “the Saudi equivalent of the Hitler Youth: a hate-mongering, ultra-extremist group preaching, among other niceties, that Shia Muslims are not real Muslims, but products of a Jewish conspiracy.” The website Militant Islam Monitor characterizes the organization as “part of the Saudi Wahhabist 'Jihad through conversion' drive.”

Final preparations have been made for the American Hiroshima, a major attack on the U. S.

Al Qaeda and the Taliban will also launch a major strike (known as the "Badar offensive" against the coalition forces in Afghanistan during the holy month of Ramadan.

The American people will be treated to a final audio message from Osama bin Laden which will be aired within the next two weeks.

The announcements from Abu Dawood were obtained by Hamid Mir, the only journalist to interview Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri, and Taliban leader Mullah Omar in the wake of 9/11. Mir earlier reports regarding the resurgence of the Taliban with support from Iran and an unofficial truce between President Pervez Musharraf and al Qaeda have been panned out by the press in recent months.

Mr. Mir interviewed Dawood on September 12 at the tomb of Sultan Mehmud Ghaznawi on the outskirts of Kabul. Dawood and the al Qaeda leaders who accompanied him were clean-shaven and dressed as Western reporters. The al Qaeda commandeer had contacted Mir by cell-phone to arrange the meeting. The ISM-Terror Connection

Who and what is the ISM? The ISM is the International Solidarity Movement, better known as an organization of anti-Israel propagandists, as Steve Plaut astutely writes, "in designer jeans, all in close, indeed slavish, coordination with the PLO". The ISM is a Jew-haters club. Hate Jews? Join the ISM. It was founded by the Jew-in- name-only Adam Shapiro and his palestinian wife, Huwaida Arraf. Other members included Rachel Corrie, a US Flag-burning extremist, someone who clearly sympathised with palestinians conducting murder, but felt no "solidarity" at all for the Israeli children murdered by Muslim terrorists.

At times, their activity in Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip is under the auspices of Palestinian terrorist organizations." The ISM always tries to maintain the veneer of a “peace group”; however, ISM founders Adam Shapiro and his wife, Huwaida Arraf, and Norcal ISM’s leader Paul LaRudee, a man who Stop the ISM recently succeeded in getting deported from Israel as a security threat, began revealing their true colors recently by going to Lebanon to act as “human shields” for the Hezbollah.

Up to now, the ISM has been permitted to use our colleges and universities to find recruits to send to the Middle East to interfere with Israeli soldiers and border police. For example, every Friday, the ISM organizes riots in the West Bank. ISM members openly boast about having been arrested for vandalizing and destroying Israeli security fences and equipment. In March 2003, fugitive Islamic Jihad terrorist Shadi Sukiya was arrested in a house the ISM rented in Jenin. Two suicide bombers from the UK met with the ISM in Gaza before blowing up Mike’s Place, a bar in Tel Aviv, killing three people and wounding more than fifty in the process.

Here at home, ISM appears to blatantly violate 18 USC Code 2339a, a statute banning going overseas to aid terrorist groups. The government has also failed to enforce felony passport laws that are continually being violated by ISM activists. This allows the ISM to function across international boundaries. Rico Statutes in the US are routinely violated too through a campus network. Emiliano, an American ISM activist in these photos, was sent to the West Bank with money given to him by New York ISM as a “grant.” That means a conspiratorial subversive group is paying to send subversives to riot in an allied country in this War on Terror. When I called the San Francisco office of the FBI three times to alert them about information in this article, I was disconnected twice and the third time given a voice recorder for the duty agent. Nobody called back.

In the 48-minute video posted on an Islamic militant website last Saturday which I posted about here, al-Qaeda's No. 2, Ayman al-Zawahri appears with Adam Yehiye Gadahn, a 28-year-old American convert to Islam and threatens invites the forefront experts on Islam to convert: Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer, Michael Scheuer, and Steven Emerson. Here is Daniel Pipes reply:

In a statement today, Al-Qaeda's American rep, Adam Gadahn (né Adam Perlman, whom the FBI seeks "in connection with possible terrorist threats against the United States"), has this to say:

If the Zionist crusader missionaries of hate and counter-Islam consultants like Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer, Michael Scheuer, Steven Emerson, and yes, even the crusader-in-chief George W. Bush were to abandon their unbelief and repent and enter into the light of Islam and turn their swords against the enemies of God, it would be accepted of them and they would be our brothers in Islam."

So, Al-Qaeda wants me and my "sword" (a reference, presumably, to my computer keyboard) to join its efforts. My response to Gadahn:

I note your offer for me to change sides in the current war. But I am faithful to my own religion, to my own country, and to my civilization. I will do my part to defeat radical, totalitarian Islam and to usher in the emergence of a modern, moderate, and good-neighborly Islam in its place.

By way of postscript, Gadahn praises three Westerners: Seymour Hersh, George Galloway, and Robert Fisk. This is in keeping with Osama bin Laden's praising William Blum.

Folks, you better get on the horn and start raising the alarm about the audacious supremacy of Islam and its fanatical adherents. Start spreading the word and warn others because soon you and your family will be threatened invited to participate in this cult too.

Israel's agreement to a ceasefire will be perceived as a great victory to the Muslim identity politic. Because Olmert agreed to a ceasefire, palestinians will hand out candies and celebrate our losses. Hezbollah will launch more missiles because Hezbollah answers to noone. Iran and Iraq and Syria will huddle in their viper nests accumulating peroxide and C42 explosives, Pakistan will breed more genocide bombers, and the United Kingdom will round up more "Asians".

Israel has agreed to a ceasefire, but what about Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regav?

I am deeply dissappointed by Olmert's decision and I am at a loss to write anything significant - but my silence is only temporary, my Muslim readers. Olmert has brought shame to the Israeli nation, so yes celebrate. Hand out your candies.

CAIR Fun Facts

Folks, are you aware of the fact that CAIR, since its inception in 1994, had lost four of its officials, all linked to al-Qaeda and/or Hamas, all of which who’ve been either convicted or deported for their crimes? Or that one of its national advisory board members, Siraj Wahhaj, is on the list of potential co-conspirators to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center?

Did you know that, just prior to 9/11, CAIR had solicited funds for two terrorist charities related to Al-Qaeda and Hamas, the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development and the Global Relief Foundation, both shut down after 9/11?

Or that CAIR’s Executive Director, Nihad Awad, in March of 1994, publicly stated his support for Hamas, saying that “after I researched the situation inside and outside Palestine, I am in support of the Hamas movement…”?

How about the fact that CAIR had criticized the prosecution of the spiritual leader of the ’93 bombing, Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, listing the trial as an “incident of anti-Muslim bias and violence”?

On June 5th, the Los Angeles chapter of CAIR sponsored a community town hall meeting at the Islamic Center of Irvine (ICOI), a mosque that propagates venomously anti-Semitic and anti-Israel rhetoric. In a Khutbah (sermon) given at the ICOI last month, entitled ‘The Abuse of a Religion to sustain a Racist State,’ the ICOI’s Director of Religious Affairs, Sadullah Khan, stated, “Jews who came [to Israel] brought with them a Western arrogance…” In the sermon, which is found on the ICOI website, Khan liberally quoted alleged neo-Nazi William Baker and described Zionism as “racist,” “diabolical” and “sinister.”

I've written in the past that CAIR was created by a front for overseas terrorist organizations called the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), whose founders include the number two leader in Hamas today, Mousa Abu Marzook, and the former North American head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Sami Al-Arian?

This front, the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), had been found liable for the murder of a young American boy, David Boim, whose life was taken during a Hamas terror operation in Israel?

CAIR is currently the defendant in a lawsuit charging that the group played a role in the murder of former chief of the FBI’s counter-terrorism section, John O’Neill, on September 11th. Steven Pomerantz, former FBI assistant director and chief of the FBI's Counter-Terrorism Section, has stated, “CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups”?

Moreso, does CAIR dare to answer why almost everyone on this page is a Muslim?

The New Breed of Bioterrorism?

Here ya go, folks. Pull up your easy chair and pour yourself a cup of coffee, but, er, don't eat any donuts. From The New Breed of Bioterrorism?:

Last week, October 26, 2005, Behrouz Nahidmobarekeh was tried for tampering with consumer products. He was convicted the next day. He was caught on tape sprinkling dried feces on donuts and pastries in a Dallas grocery. Is this a new form of bioterrorism?

It would be the most cost-efficient, using the most easily attainable substance. Everyone knows feces can carry Hepatitis B, C, and D, as well as a host of other infectious diseases like Shigella and E. Coli. Yet Nahidmobarekeh’s attorney Clark Birsall said there was no way to prove that Nahidmobarekeh’s actions would have harmed anyone.

There are no DNA tests reported yet that even prove the dried feces were Nahidmobarekeh’s own, though he apparently prepared them in his apartment. The FBI determined it was not a matter of national security, so they turned Nahidmobarekeh over to local authorities after they had arrested him.

Why, this was just the personal revenge of a Middle Eastern sociopathic cab driver, who had “a beef” with the store owners. Nahidmobarekeh said he wanted to “teach them a lesson.”

Not to worry?

Stupid Terrorists

An informative excerpt from the scholared Daniel Pipes:

Mohammed Salameh, the terrorist who returned to the rental agency in 1993 to retrieve the $400 deposit he had paid on a truck subsequently used to blow up the World Trade Center. His penny-pinching lead to his own capture and that of several other bombers.

Zacarias Moussaoui, thought to have been the would-be 20th hijacker of the September 11, 2001, attacks, was sitting in jail on that date because his disheveled and impoverished appearance at a flight instruction school was so discordant ("there's really something wrong with this guy") that two of its staff phoned the FBI. In April 2005, Moussaoui pleaded guilty to six counts of conspiracy to commit terrorism.

Michael Wagner, an African-American convert to Islam associated with Al-Qaeda, did not wear a seat belt and that got him stopped by the police in July 2004 near Council Bluffs, Iowa. His car contained "flight training manuals and a simulator, documents in Arabic, bulletproof vests and night-vision goggles, a night-vision scope for a rifle, a telescope, a 9mm semiautomatic pistol and hundreds of rounds of ammunition."

Zaynab Khadr, accused by Canadian authorities of having "willingly participated and contributed both directly and indirectly towards enhancing the ability of Al Qaeda to facilitate its criminal activities," returned to Canada in February with a computer chock full of documents that the authorities say "provide insights into the tactics, techniques and procedures" of Al-Qaeda and other groups.

Sami Ibrahim Isa Abdel Hadi, 39, was stopped in May for tailgating in Ridgefield Park, N.J. When a police officer called in Abdel Hadi's North Carolina license plates, he learned that Abdel Hadi had been ordered deported to Brazil in December 2001 and is listed in the FBI's National Crime Information Center database. Even more alarmingly, he had a valid temporary identity card permitting him to paint the George Washington Bridge (a high-profile potential terrorist target).

When an accused Los Angeles terror gang, the Assembly of Authentic Islam, needed money for arms, it robbed gas stations rather than obtain funds legally. One of its holdup artists dropped a mobile phone during a June robbery, which the police retrieved and used to unravel the plot and arrest the conspirators.

Other famous dumb terrorists include Yu Kikumura, a member of the Japanese Red Army whose odd behavior prompted a search of his car at a New Jersey Turnpike rest stop in April 1988, turning up three powerful bombs. Or Timothy McVeigh, apprehended in April 1995 after bombing the Oklahoma City federal building that killed 168 people, because his car lacked a license plate.

Counterterrorism is a difficult business, so it is fortunate that terrorists often act dumb.

Many radical Muslims today work hard today to deceive unbelievers, in line with Muhammad’s statement, "War is deceit."

Ergo, the Guantanamo detainee who told an FBI agent in 2002 that U.S. personnel there had flushed a Koran in a toilet retracted his allegation when questioned this month by military investigators, the Pentagon said on Thursday. Read the rest of the article, here, you silly American wabbit.

Kerry - and CAIR - for president?

The November presidential elections are weeks away, and the quest to get out the vote is in full swing. But when some swing voters have links to radical Islam, motives for eliciting their support must be questioned.

An e-mail announcement, dated Oct. 13 was sent out by the president of the Muslim Student Organization of Florida Atlantic University, Asmaa Metwally. It stated the following:

"Former Ambassador Osman Siddique, a representative from the John Kerry campaign will be coming to the Pompano Beach Masjid this coming Saturday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. (iftar time), to rally up the Muslim vote for John Kerry."

It's surprising that Asmaa Metwally would be the dispatcher of an announcement for a campaign for president of the United States, as his name appears on an endorsement of another event put on by the Palestine Solidarity Movement, a group that has, on numerous occasions, turned a blind eye to terrorist attacks against innocent Israeli civilians.

But then, as we read on in the e-mail, we find out that the Kerry event is being hosted by a Dr. Maged Metwally, an obvious relation to Asmaa.

Following this bit of information comes the real surprise. The event – again, an event for a campaign for president of the United States – is being held, as stated in the e-mail, "in coordination with the Pompano Beach Masjid and CAIR." As the late announcer of the New York Yankees, Phil Rizzuto, would say, "Holy Cow!"

CAIR, or the Council on American-Islamic Relations, is an organization that purports to be a harmless civil-rights group fighting against discrimination of the Muslim community. Yet, evidence shows that CAIR is nothing more than a militant Islamist organization.

CAIR is a spin-off of the Islamic Association for Palestine, an organization that was founded by current Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzook. CAIR's executive director, Nihad Awad, himself, has stated that he supports Hamas.

Numerous leaders of CAIR have been cited for their involvement in nefarious activities. They include:

Ghassan Elashi (founding board member of CAIR's Texas chapter) – was chairman of Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, which was shut down by the United States for raising millions of dollars for Hamas; in July of 2004, was convicted of conspiracy, money laundering and making false statements about shipments of high-tech equipment to countries deemed state sponsors of terrorism.

Randall Todd "Ismail" Royer (national staff member of CAIR) – past communications director of the Muslim American Society, an organization that publishes materials calling suicide bombings against Israelis justifiable; in April of 2004, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his participation in a network of al-Qaida-related militant jihadists centered in northern Virginia.

Bassem Khafagi (CAIR's community director) – was co-founder and past president of the Islamic Assembly of North America, an organization that has been investigated for possible funding to terrorist-related groups and publishing of materials calling for suicide bombings in the United States; in November of 2003, was sentenced to prison for bank fraud and making false statements on his visa application; was later deported to Egypt.

Rabih Haddad (fund-raiser for CAIR's Ann Arbor chapter) – was co-founder and past executive director and public relations director for Global Relief Foundation, which was shut down by the United States for its financing of terrorist groups, specifically al-Qaida; was arrested by INS for visa violations, in December of 2001 and was later deported to Lebanon.

Siraj Wahhaj (national board member of CAIR) – in February of 1995, was named by federal prosecutor Mary Jo White as a possible co-conspirator to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center; was a character witness for Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, who is serving a life sentence for his part in the '93 bombing conspiracy; currently sits on the board of directors of the radical Islamic Society of North America.
Steven Pomerantz, former FBI assistant director and chief of the FBI's Counter-Terrorism Section, has stated, "CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups." And "CAIR is but one of a new generation of groups in the United States that hide under a veneer of 'civil rights' or 'academic' status but in fact are tethered to a platform that supports terrorism."

Why would John Kerry, a candidate for president of the United States, allow himself or his campaign to be involved with such a group as this? And will a vote for John Kerry for president mean a vote for CAIR in the White House, as well?

Federal officials asked for the public's help Wednesday in finding seven people possibly connected to Al Qaeda who may be planning an attack on the United States or who may have information about such a plan. Following are short bios on the seven along with links to their FBI Web sites.

--Adnan El Shukrijumah. A Saudi native who lived in South Florida, Shukrijumah is believed to have helped mastermind the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Federal officials have a special interest in him because of his familiarity with the United States and his ability to speak English.

--Aafia Siddiqui. A Pakistani woman who studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Siddiqui is not charged with being an Al Qaeda operative but officials believe she can help others who are planning to harm America. Authorities believe she spent time in Maryland.

--Fazul Mohammad. Was one of four men charged with conspiracy in four cases: The Nov. 28, 2002, bombing of Paradise Hotel north of Mombasa, Kenya, which killed 15 people; the nearly simultaneous attempt to shoot down an Israeli airliner; an alleged plot to destroy the new U.S. Embassy in Nairobi in June 2002; and the 1998 bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, which killed 219 people, including 12 Americans.

--Ahmed Ghailiani. Believed to have participated in the 1998 bombings of two U.S. embassies in East Africa.

--Amer El-Maati. A Kuwaiti-born man sought in connection with possible terrorist threats in the United States in 2002. The FBI has issued an alert to be on the lookout for El-Maati in November 2002.

--Abderraouf Jdey. A Tunisian who may have a Canadian passport. The FBI in September 2003 announced he was one of four men wanted for questioning in an unspecified terror plot against U.S. interests. On July 31, the FBI reissued a "Be On the Lookout" advisory for Jdey, who was "considered extremely dangerous." In January, Jdey was identified as one of five individuals depicted on videotapes recovered from the destroyed residence of Usama bin Laden's military chief, Muhammad Atef. Officials say Atef was killed by a U.S. airstrike in November.

--Adam Gadahn. A 25-year-old U.S. citizen who uses two other names as well: Adam Pearlman and Abu Suhayb Al-Amriki. Gadahn went to Al Qaeda training camps and once served as an Al Qaeda translator, according to FBI Director Robert Mueller. Gadahn himself states on an Islamic Internet site that he grew up on a goat ranch in Riverside County, Calif., and converted to Islam in his late teen years after moving to Garden Grove, Calif.
