What is the "Why Islam" New York City subway advertisement campaign?
What started out as a campaign disguised as promoting dialogue between people of different faiths according to its sponsors, may actually be a promotion for Islamic terror according to groups confronting this highly questionable campaign. The “Why Islam?” campaign, dubbed “Subway jihad” by its opponents, entails a series of advertisements in New York subway cars promoting the Islamic ideology. Concerns arose when radical Imam Siraj Wahhaj, unindicted co conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombings, came out as a promoter of the project.
"In time, this so-called democracy will crumble, and there will be nothing, and the only thing that will remain will be Islam," Wahhaj is noted as stating in one of his regular sermons, causing an uproar from Americans all across the nation. Yet Wahhaj continues to issue sermons and statements on a regular bases that are shocking and gravely concerning to many.
“Why has the Muslim community not denounced this man? Instead he is being recruited to promote campaigns such as the subway advertisements.” remarked Pamela Hall, Chairwoman of the New York chapter of the United American Committee. “This is deeply concerning.” Hall continued.
A variation of 3 Islamic advertisements will appear in 1,000 of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s 6,200 subway cars according to a statement by the campaign's organizers. This latest campaign comes as no surprise to veteran groups such as the United American Committee and others involved in the anti-jihad resistance confronting this campaign such as the Stop the Madrassa Coalition, who all have a focus on tackling issues pertaining to Islamic radicalism.
“They will use any resource necessary to fight their jihad against America, be they bullets or through non-violent means such as this.” remarked U.A.C. Vice Chairman Jim Horn when questioned about the advertisement campaign.
The anti-jihad groups are urging all concerned citizens across the nation to contact New York city, state and federal representatives, as well as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to express their concerns over the advertisements.
More information on this and other anti-jihad resistance activities can be found at http://thesilentmajority.wordpress.com or http://www.UnitedAmericanCommittee.org

Convicted U.S. Terrorist Concerned Over Jewish Judge
U.S. District Judge Gerald E. Rosen rejected Fawzi Mustapha Assi's request that the judge remove himself from the terrorism case because he is Jewish. Assi, 48, a former resident of Dearborn, Mich., was arrested in 1998 when he tried to board a plane to Lebanon with visual and navigational equipment for Hizbullah, and he pleaded guilty in November 2007. He addressed the court Monday against the advice of his attorney, saying he heard rumors that Judge Rosen is a Zionist and might have pro-Israel sympathies.
Rosen said the court "has bent over backwards" to ensure fairness.

Islamic Saudi Academy Director Arrested for Obstruction of Justice
Mr. Al-Shaban’s arrest stems from an investigation into the ISA’s alleged failure to comply with State requirements for reporting child abuse. According to authorities, instead of reporting the child abuse, Mr. Al-Shabnan deleted the report, contacted the student’s parents, and recommended psychological counseling for the young victim. Mr. Al-Shaban’s June 9 arrest comes after a May 23rd police search of the ISA where they gathered evidence that has contributed to the charges against Mr. Al-Shabnan.
Years of Controversy Continue
The ISA has been at the center of controversy for many years. A 2007 United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) report promoted members of Congress to call for the closure of the school. The 2007 USCIRF report prompted a coalition of concerned grassroots organizations to request the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to delay the renewal of the ISA lease until a Federal investigation into the ISA was completed. During the hearing, County Supervisors dismissed concerns as slanderous, bigoted, and unfounded. During the course of the hearing, Fairfax County Chairman, and Democratic Candidate for the 11th Congressional District, apologized to Mr. Al-Shabnan for what he deemed slanderous accusations that impugned the integrity of the Islamic Saudi Academy.
Since that May 19 hearing, the Mr. Al-Shabnan has been arrested and the USCIRF has confirmed ISA textbooks justify murder as an Islamic right.
Only Supervisor Gross has responded to the issue, and she continues her support for the ISA, and its textbooks that contain passages filled with hate and incitement to violence. Chairman Connolly has yet to retract his apology to the ISA and Mr. Al-Shabnan. Supervisor Hyland has not yet commented on whether the texts cited in the USCIRF report are the similar to those he identified as “texts of concern” during his independent and undocumented investigation of the ISA.
These hateful passages remain despite a 2006 US State Department request for the ISA to remove all insensitive and offensive content from textbooks. The ISA’s non-compliance with the 2006 US State Department request has not been accounted for and raises concerns about what the ISA, as an extension of the Saudi government, considers offensive, and the level of accountability they have to their local hosts and Federal government.
Since the US Treasury Department still considers Saudi Arabia as one of the leading financiers of terrorism, and USCIRF reports identify Saudi Arabia’s education as filled with incitements to murder as a religious freedom, the US State Department has not commented as to whether they will extend this policy and allow Iran and North Korea to open official schools in the US as well.
The ISA’s has run afoul of Virginia law before in hiring a bus driver, Abdelrazeg Abdalla, who had a suspend license, seven traffic violations, a misdemeanor for kidnapping his wife and child at knife point, and a six month detainment by Homeland Security. Nevertheless, the ISA hired Mr. Abdalla as a bus driver. Mr. Abdalla, operating a faulty ISA, bus was responsible for a 2005 multi-car accident.
Additionally, the ISA winner of the superlative Most Likely to Be a Martyr, and 1999 class valedictorian, Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, has been convicted on charges of terrorism and attempting to assassinate President Bush.
As a result for the a May 19 hearing, the ISA’s lease of Fairfax County property continues as the Board of Supervisors unanimously supports the ISA as a model school beyond reproach.

UAC in Virginia confronts dhimmi County Supervisors
Story and video below:
On Monday, May 19, 2008, the head of the Northern Virginia United American Committee Chapter, Mr. John Cosgrove, testified before the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, calling on them to delay the renewal of the Islamic Saudi Academy’s (ISA) lease of Fairfax County property.
The UAC joined the Center for Security Policy, the Traditional Values Coalition, and other concerned citizens who supported delaying the renewal of the ISA lease until the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom and the State Department complete their investigations of ISA.
The Supervisor of the County District where the ISA is located, Mr. Gerry Hyland, outlined the intentionally cloaked investigation of the ISA material he commissioned, and emphasized that the findings of his study would not be publicly known. UAC NoVa finds this deeply troubling as Supervisor Hyland, in the 65th minute of the hearing, admits the ISA material contains texts of concern. Rather than allowing for public access to the materials, Supervisor Hyland intently enumerated the methods by which his findings would remain secret. Herein, the UAC NoVa will continue its efforts to shed light on an issue the Board of Supervisors would rather keep in the dark.
UAC NoVa also rejects Fairfax County Chairman Gerry Connolly’s assertions of slander and his derision of testimony from citizens concerned about a school funded by a government the US Treasury Department still considers a financier of terrorism.
UAC NoVa will continue to overcome Supervisor Hyland’s attempts to hide information and Chairman Connolly’s intimidation tactics. In stark contrast to the Board of Supervisor’s decision to pass the buck to Federal authorities, UAC NoVa believes homeland security begins at home.
UAC NoVa testimony begins at 22:50 and is available online at:

Agent Says FBI Not Prepared to Deal with Middle Eastern Terrorists
Career FBI agent Bassem Youssef told a House Judiciary Committee subcommittee Wednesday, "The FBI counter-terrorism division is ill-equipped to handle the terrorist threat we are facing." Youssef said that counter-terrorism agents and managers at FBI headquarters often lack basic knowledge about Middle Eastern culture, language and terrorists' ideology. The result is that agents are wasting resources chasing leads that more sophisticated observers would quickly dispense with. The time and energy expended on marginal cases has diverted resources from investigating more substantial threats, he said.
The son of immigrant Christian Egyptians and a decorated counter-terrorism agent, Youssef has long been the highest-ranking Arab American agent in the FBI and one of its few native Arabic speakers. He was passed over for promotions after the Sept. 11 attacks, and filed a lawsuit in 2003 claiming the bureau discriminated against him based on his ancestry.

A Plan for Fighting Jihadist Activity in the U.S.
In mid-April, Rep. Sue Myrick (R-NC) unveiled a ten-point plan for fighting against jihadist activity in the U.S.All in favor, say Aye.
1) Investigate all military chaplains endorsed by Abdurahman Alamoudi, who is serving 23 years in prison for funding jihad terrorism.
2) Investigate all prison chaplains endorsed by Alamoudi.
3) Investigate the selection process of Arabic translators working for the Pentagon and the FBI.
4) Examine the non-profit status of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which has had several of its officials convicted on jihad terror-related charges, and was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas funding case.
5) Make it an act of sedition or solicitation of treason to preach or publish materials that call for the deaths of Americans.
6) Audit sovereign wealth funds in the U.S.
7) Cancel scholarship student visa program with Saudi Arabia until they reform their textbooks, which preach hatred and violence against non-Muslims.
8) Restrict religious visas for imams who come from countries that don't allow reciprocal visits by non-Muslim clergy.
9) Cancel contracts to train Saudi police and security in U.S. counterterrorism tactics.
10) Block the sale of sensitive military munitions to Saudi Arabia.

Trial opens for Muslim who murdered 1 and wounded 5 at Seattle Jewish Federation
Naveed Haq, 32, a Pakistani-American born in the United States, has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of murder and attempted murder in the July 2006 attack. If convicted, he faces life in prison without parole.
What crap. The fact is, he's a free-lance jihadi and anyone with common sense would know that he was just following the Mohammedan jihadist manual. We know that Haq carefully planned his attack, making four separate trips to gun shops and using the Internet to map the 227-mile trip from his parents' home in Pasco in eastern Washington state to the Jewish Federation in Seattle.
Haq said himself that he stopped shooting when he realized there weren't any men there, so clearly he wanted to kill Jewish men. He's a jihadi, he should be imprisoned for a good long time.

Muslims Attack Jew in NYC
Oriah Ohana, a 25-year-old Israeli rabbi from Kfar Chabad, was attacked by a group of Arab men in Brooklyn, New York City, Tuesday evening.
An 18-year-old Arab man grabbed the yarmulka off Rabbi Ohana’s head at the 4th Avenue and 9th Street train station in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, while his friends kicked and punched the victim and screamed "Allahu Akbar" [Arabic: Allah is Great].
Rabbi Ohana chased the man who grabbed the yarmulka. The Muslim attacker ran out of the subway station and was hit by a passing car.
The attacker’s friends then beat the rabbi, claiming he was the cause of their friend’s misfortune. They escaped before police arrived – abandoning their friend, whose broken legs precluded his escape.

When Jihad Came to America
On May 2 and 3, 1990, the U.S. embassy in Cairo alerted its counterpart in Khartoum that Egypt's "leading radical," Omar Abdel Rahman, was on his way to Sudan and warned that his ultimate plan might be to seek exile in the U.S. And yet when, immediately upon arriving in Sudan, Abdel Rahman made application at the American embassy for a multiple-entry visa to the U.S., the document was issued to him within a week. Visa in hand, Abdel Rahman relocated to the U.S. on July 18, 1990. He was the motivating force behind the first effort to bring down the World Trade Center buildings in a bombing that killed six adults and wounded hundreds more in February 1993. I led the team of prosecutors who in 1995 successfully convicted him and nine others for that conspiracy.
But this was not the first terrorist act on American soil for which he bore some responsibility. It was preceded, only months after his arrival, by the assassination of the radical Jewish activist Meir Kahane. Had American authorities connected this murder to what they already knew about Abdel Rahman's burgeoning activities in America, and worked to mine the reams of evidence left by Kahane's assassin in his car and home, they would have gathered the information necessary to break up a terrorist ring in its relative infancy and thereby prevent the 1993 bombing - and, perhaps, much else that was to follow.

Government Reminds Court of CAIR/MAS Ties to Terrorists
For at least the third time, federal prosecutors have called out the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as part of a covert Muslim Brotherhood effort in the U.S.
First, CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Hamas-support trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF). CAIR was listed among "entities who are and/or were members of the US Muslim Brotherhood's Palestine Committee." Then, when the group petitioned to remove its name from that list, prosecutors said such relief "will not prevent its conspiratorial involvement with HLF, and others affiliated with Hamas, from becoming a matter of public record."
CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Hamas-support trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, listed among "entities who are and/or were members of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood's Palestine Committee."
Now, in a federal court filing from December, federal prosecutors have described CAIR as "having conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists."
The government also stated that the Muslim American Society (MAS) was "founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States."
CAIR and MAS Freedom Foundation had offered friend of the court briefs for the appeal of Sabri Benkahla, who was part of a group who trained to fight with the Taliban against the U.S.

Classified military documents from Iraq ended up in Arabic translator's apartment in Brooklyn
But don't worry, readers, it's the weally scary Iswael lobby that you should be afwaid of.No worries. "This is not a terrorism case. This could happen to any immigrant."
Of course. Any immigrant could inadvertently get a job handling classified military documents, and mistakenly take some home with him, and -- who knows? -- perhaps without intending to let a few drop into the sight of Iraqi jihadists. But keep your shirt on! This could happen to anyone! "Mystery Deepens Over WMD Documents," by Joseph Goldstein for the New York Sun:
How the classified military documents from Iraq, which named the coordinates of where the Army suspected weapons of mass destruction to be hidden, ended up in an Arabic translator's apartment on Hoyt Street in Brooklyn, is clear.
Not likely to be known anytime soon is what, if anything, the army contractor did with the documents.
The U.S. attorney's office in Brooklyn, which is prosecuting the case, appears to have little direct evidence that Noureddine Malki passed information on to the insurgency, either during his time in Iraq in 2003 and 2004, or upon his return to America in 2005. But it has raised the possibility that he may have done so. The government has said Malki regularly called phone numbers connected to insurgents and took bribes of at least $11,500 from Sunni tribal leaders.

The deadly tentacles of the Arab lobby
Read the rest of the article here. Read more about Alwaleed Bin Talal here, here, here and here.Fox News has long been considered a beacon to those that distrust televised liberal media, meaning every channel other than Fox. One of the indicators of the station’s right-leaning bent is that it has, for the most part, gotten the ‘War on Terrorism’ correct. However, with the undue influence of a Saudi Prince related to militant causes and with this month’s acquisition of Beliefnet, a religious resource website that proudly promotes radical Islam, signs show that the war coverage may soon be taking a turn for the worse.
In September of 2005, Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal purchased 5.46 per cent of Class B voting shares in News Corp, the company that owns Fox News and a number of other media and entertainment entities. This had replaced the three per cent stake in Class A non-voting shares bin Talal had previously held through his investment corporation, Kingdom Holding Company (KHC).
With his newfound voting rights, bin Talal stated his intention of supporting Rupert Murdoch, the principal owner of News Corp, helping Murdoch to stay in power and avoid hostile takeover by other interested investors. Some have said that this was like making a deal with the devil, as Murdoch has been left vulnerable to the whims of an individual that has been involved in despicable causes.
In April of 2002, bin Talal had donated $27 million during a Saudi telethon that was raising money for the families of suicide bombers. As well, he had given $500,000 to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to be used towards the distribution and propagation of a set of Islamist books for American libraries. The set included Jamal Badawi’s Gender Equity in Islam, which sanctions the beating of women by their husbands, and a version of the Quran, Abdullah Yusuf Ali’s The Meaning of The Holy Koran, which has been banned by the Los Angeles school system.
Utilizing his position of power within Fox News (today, he is the second largest shareholder), bin Talal has worked to influence programming at the station. An infamous example of this was reported in a December 2005 article found in WorldNetDaily, stating:During the violent street protests in France one month ago, the prince said, Fox News ran a banner at the bottom of the screen that said “Muslim riots.”“I picked up the phone and called Murdoch ... [and told him] these are not Muslim riots, these are riots out of poverty,” al-Walid said. “Within 30 minutes, the title was changed from Muslim riots to civil riots.”

Saudi Arabian Students Are Back in U.S.
The number of international students attending American colleges and universities has nearly rebounded from a slump that followed the 2001 terrorist attacks, which triggered tough new visa restrictions and closer monitoring of foreign scholars. Nearly 8,000 students from Saudi Arabia attended American colleges and universities in 2006-2007, a 128% increase over 2005-2006.

Inside Source at FBI Believed to Have Fed Secret Info to Hizbullah
An illegal immigrant from Lebanon who became an agent for the FBI and CIA allegedly used her access to sensitive U.S. government secrets to help her brother-in-law, a suspected major fundraiser for the terrorist group Hizbullah, according to new details concerning a national security breach that emerged Wednesday. In court documents and interviews, federal authorities said Nada Nadim Prouty, 37, illegally accessed top-secret FBI investigative files on five occasions and most likely shared the information with the suspected Hizbullah operative. On Wednesday, prosecutors said Prouty illegally accessed the FBI's Hizbullah investigative files in 2002 and 2003, at a time when she was a Washington, D.C.-based FBI field agent who was not working on Hizbullah cases. At the time, her sister's husband, Talal Khalil Chahine, 51, was under investigation by the FBI in Detroit for suspected ties to Hizbullah. For more on Nada Nadim Prouty, click here.
Authorities now believe Prouty was illegally accessing the FBI files to determine for Chahine and perhaps others what the FBI knew about the group's presence here, and that she accessed an investigative file on Chahine. At the time, Chahine was suspected of raising large sums of money for Hizbullah and of meeting with top Hizbullah leaders in Lebanon. The FBI began investigating Prouty after agents began hearing that Chahine, an influential power broker in Dearborn, had an inside source at the FBI who was feeding him information about its investigations into his activities and into Hizbullah.

Connecticut Schools Cancel Palestinian Dance Troupe Performances
After receiving a complaint that a Palestinian dance troupe's performance at the high school was offensive to Jews and Israel, school officials canceled scheduled appearances by the Al-Ghad Folklore Dancing Troupe of Beit Sahour this week at Old Saybrook's elementary and middle schools. Resident Ginger Horton said she felt compelled to complain to school officials after the troupe's performance at the high school Monday. "[My] grandchildren came home very frightened," Horton said Thursday. They told her the performance depicted Israeli soldiers beating and torturing Palestinians.
Bob Fishman, executive director of the Jewish Federation Association of Connecticut, said public schools should not host groups with a perceived political agenda. He lauded upset local students and family members who "stepped up." "It was a very disturbing report [Horton] got from her grandchildren," Fishman said. "I advised her that it's not appropriate for a sponsor to say it's cultural when it's primarily political."
Illegal immigrant, Muslim from Lebanon, worked for FBI, CIA, stole info, passed it to Hizballah
Whew. This story has everything: an illegal immigration angle, a Keystone Kops angle, an espionage angle, a moderate-Muslims-condemn-terror-or-do-they angle, and more. It would make a great movie. If this kind of thing doesn't kill us first. Here is the USDOJ document on this Muslim menace.
The illegal immigration angle is of course that illegal immigration is a national security issue, and that illegal immigrants have no business working for the FBI and the CIA. That in turn leads to the Keystone Kops angle: what on earth was the FBI and the CIA thinking, giving this woman key jobs? Of course, no one would dream of asking Nada Nadim Prouty or anyone like her sensitive questions about where they stand on the jihad ideology and Islamic supremacism. Why, you're automatically a bigot just for thinking that such questions should be asked. But when you don't ask, of course, and make no effort to investigate in any other way, you don't get answers.
The espionage angle: why did the FBI and CIA, clueless again, give her access to sensitive information? And of course finally there is the moderate-Muslims-condemn-terror-or-do-they angle: the FBI and CIA people who hired her were probably avid to get Muslims on staff so that they wouldn't appear anti-Muslim, and she no doubt had pluperfect bona fides as a moderate. If she was then funnelling information to Hizballah, it only underscores the fact that there is no reliable way to distinguish a peaceful Muslim who rejects today's jihad from one who subscribes to that jihad.
There is also the Arab American Institute link: last week I wrote about La Shish, the restaurant chain owned by Prouty's brother, who has fled the country to escape indictment for evading taxes and sending the restaurant money to Hizballah (to the tune of $20 million). La Shish was one of the sponsors, despite this indictment, of the AAI's recent conference, where Democratic presidential candidates and Ron Paul were falling all over themselves to condemn "racial profiling" -- anti-terror efforts be damned -- and grovel for the Arab vote. And now here comes yet more evidence of just whom they were groveling before.
"U.S. prosecutors: Illegal immigrant worked for FBI, CIA, stole info: Woman was sister-in-law of fugitive La Shish restaurant owner, stole info on investigation," by David Ashenfelter for the Detroit Free Press (thanks to Jeffrey Imm):It may be unclear what she did with the classified information that she took home, but here's a clue, from "Former FBI Agent Accused Of Leaking Info," from CBS News (thanks again to Jeffrey Imm):The sister-in-law of the indicted fugitive owner of the La Shish restaurant chain got sensitive jobs at the FBI and CIA, despite being an illegal immigrant, federal prosecutors said in court documents unsealed today in Detroit.
The woman, Nada Nadim Prouty, 37, of Vienna, Va., also tapped into a sensitive FBI computer to find out what federal investigators knew about her, La Shish restaurant owner Talal Chahine, and her sister, who is married to Chahine.
Prosecutors said she took an unknown quantity of classified information home with her. It’s unclear what happened, or what she did with the information, prosecutors said. The information pertained to a federal investigation of Chahine and his possible involvement with Hizballah, which has been declared a terrorist organization by the U.S State Department....
A woman who previously worked as an FBI agent and a CIA analyst is expected to plead guilty to charges she disclosed unauthorized information to people outside the government, CBS News has learned. Some useful information comes also from "Prosecutors: LaShish owner's sister-in-law infiltrated CIA, FBI," by Paul Egan for The Detroit News (thanks yet again to Jeffrey Imm):
Sources say the woman, from Lebanon, entered the United States on a student visa and earned citizenship through a sham marriage.
While officials say there is no evidence of actual espionage and no evidence that she was working as a spy, she is accused of passing information to sympathizers of Hezbollah, a group the US has labeled a terrorist organization.DETROIT -- An illegal alien with links to Hezbollah penetrated the Central Intelligence Agency and the FBI, federal prosecutors in Detroit said today.Feel safer?
Nada Nadim Prouty, 37, of Vienna, Va., a sister-in-law of fugitive LaShish Restaurants owner Talal Chahine, pleaded guilty in federal court today to conspiracy to defraud the United States, unauthorized computer access, and naturalization fraud.
According to an information unsealed today, Lebanese-born Prouty gained U.S. citizenship in 1994 through a fraudulent marriage, joined the FBI's Washington Field Office as special agent in 1999 and joined the CIA in June, 2003.
She resigned her CIA post, described as "mid-level," last week, officials said.
