State Dept. promotes 'Mosques in America'

Not churches. Not synagogues. Only mosques. The bitter irony is this is only being done because 3,000 Americans were murdered on one day by Muslim terrorists. From WND:

This now available from the U.S. State Department: "2009 Mosques of America Wall Calendar: Limited Edition for Ramadan."

"Yep, you read that correctly. It's 'perfect for Muslim outreach efforts," according to a commentary at the Gates of Vienna blog. "Where's the ACLU on this one?"

The product was being advertised by "Global Publishing Solutions," a division of the U.S. State Department, until bloggers started talking about it.

Officials then apparently hid the page behind the security of a password-protected wall. However, the page is still viewable in a Google cache of the website.

On the Gates of Vienna site, a reader posted a comment recommending the State Department "adorn the calendar with equally vibrant Quranic verses and hadiths, samples of what is preached in those mosques.

For example: January: Kill the infidels wherever you find them. February: Allah's Apostle said: I've been made victorious with terror – and so on and so forth."

JihadWatch.org pointed out the page was pulled after the weblog Snapped Shot posted an image of it yesterday. Snapped Shot said it seems the public servants at State "get all nervous when We, The People actually notice" what they're doing.

JihadWatch also made available captured screen shots of the top half and the bottom half of the page.

Today the United American Committee is alerting its members to an issue at hand that the UAC finds utterly disgusting, troubling, and gravely dangerous.

The United States government has agreed to help the radical kingdom called Saudi Arabia develop nuclear technology for power and other “peaceful” purposes. See the news article here.

Yoav Galant recently expressed fierce opposition to a cease-fire with Hamas, warning it would be used by the terrorist organization to rebuild its damaged infrastructure and to increase its arms smuggling under the Philadelphi Corridor from Sinai.

A letter that President Bush personally delivered to then-Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon four years ago has emerged as a significant obstacle to the president's efforts to forge a peace deal between the Israelis and Palestinians during his last year in office. Ehud Olmert, the current Israeli prime minister, said this week that Bush's letter gave the Jewish state permission to expand the West Bank settlements that it hopes to retain in a final peace deal, even though Bush's peace plan officially calls for a freeze of Israeli settlements.

In an interview this week, Sharon's chief of staff, Dov Weissglas, said Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice reaffirmed this understanding in a secret agreement reached between Israel and the U.S. in the spring of 2005, just before Israel withdrew from Gaza. In a key sentence in Bush's 2004 letter, the president stated, "In light of new realities on the ground, including already existing major Israeli populations centers, it is unrealistic to expect that the outcome of final status negotiations will be a full and complete return to the armistice lines of 1949." Weissglas said he then negotiated a "verbal understanding" with deputy national security adviser Elliott Abrams that would permit new construction in those key settlements; Rice and Sharon then approved the Weissglas-Abrams deal.

U.S. officials say no such agreement exists, and in recent months Rice has publicly criticized construction on the outskirts of Jerusalem, which Israel does not officially count as settlements. National security adviser Stephen J. Hadley, at a news briefing in January, suggested that Bush's 2004 letter was aimed at helping Sharon win domestic approval for the Gaza withdrawal. "The president obviously still stands by that letter of April of 2004, but you need to look at it, obviously, in the context of which it was issued," he said.

The U.S. State Department has recently released a video on its website displaying remarks on the current activities of the new "U.S.-Palestinian Partnership" headed by Mr. Walter Isaacson, President of the Aspen Institute, and one of the C0-Chairs and the Coordinator of this initiative who stated at that press conference:

"The Partnership will be "trying to get a [Arab] call center developed ... in East Jerusalem ..."

Mr. Walter continues:

"I certainly think that Minister [Ehud] Barak is very much in favor of this call center" [Is Barak giving-up on 'East Jerusalem'? Is Shass listening?]

Ziad Asali, President of the American Task Force on Palestine stated in the same press conference:

"And what is available to us [Arab Palestinians] at this point in time is what we can do in the West Bank and East Jerusalem ... The first call center that's being considered actually is [from all places] in East Jerusalem."

In the name of "business development and economic opportunities [For Palestinian Arabs]" the State Department is systematically ignoring and undermining Jewish rights to Judea and Samaria and the sovereignty over Israel's Capitol - Jerusalem.

Palestinian Arabs are encouraged by their success' at historical revisionism and global brainwashing (including the U.S. State Department), with the "Big Lie" of a 'Palestinian people.'

Historically, before the Arabs fabricated the concept of Palestinian peoplehood as an exclusively Arab phenomenon, no such group existed. This is substantiated in countless official British Mandate-vintage documents that speak of the Jews and the Arabs of Palestine-not Jews and Palestinians.

The State Department's use of fabricated and loaded terms such as 'Palestinian People' and 'East Jerusalem' is a perilous threat that will only continue to incite Palestinian Arabs - leading to war, not peace.

Jerusalem was never an Arab city; Jews have held a majority in Jerusalem since 1870, and 'east-west' is a geographical, not political designation. It is no different than claiming Annapolis, the capital of Maryland should be a separate political entity from the rest of that state.

Jerusalem has served, and still serves, as the political capital of only one nation - the one belonging to the Jews.

America drafts plan to cut Jerusalem in two

Run for your lives. Pray for G-d's forgiveness. The United States, which has been mediating negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, has proposed a plan to divide Jerusalem, according to WND. The plan, divided into separate phases, among other things calls for Israel eventually to forfeit parts of the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site.

According to the first stage of the U.S. plan, which was obtained by WND, Israel would give the PA some municipal and security sovereignty over key Arab neighborhoods in eastern Jerusalem. The PA would be allowed to open some official institutions in Jerusalem, could elect a mayor for the Palestinian side of the city and would deploy police forces to maintain law and order.

The plan doesn't specify which parts of the Temple Mount would be forfeited to the Palestinian Arabs. The U.S. plan leaves Israel and the PA to negotiate which Jerusalem neighborhoods would become Palestinian. According to diplomatic sources familiar with the plan, while specific neighborhoods were not officially listed, American officials recommended sections of Jerusalem's Old City as well as certain largely Arab Jerusalem neighborhoods such as Jabal mukabar, Beit Hanina, Shoafat, Abu Dis and Abu Tur become part of the Palestinian side.

PA Anti-Semites Get a Free Pass from the State Department

The State Department conspicuously omitted the Palestinian Authority from its March 13 report on anti-Semitism around the world. The report did note that Hamas, which rules Gaza, treats the anti-Semitic Protocols of the Elders of Zion as fact, denies the Holocaust, and broadcasts hateful TV shows aimed at children. But the PA under Mahmoud Abbas, which controls the West Bank, managed to escape blame for the anti-Semitism that it promotes with no less energy. The American Jewish Committee released a study showing the PA's schoolbooks characterize Jews in "hateful" and "derogatory" language, cite the Protocols of the Elders of Zion as a legitimate source of historical information, and omit any mention of the Holocaust. The State Department report did mention that in the 1990s, Holocaust denial became commonplace in popular media in the PA - without any acknowledgment that most of the "popular media" is government-controlled.

Michigan Man Accused of Helping Saddam Set Up Pre-War Visit to Iraq by U.S. Lawmakers

Mark Levin reported the breaking news that an Iraqi-American, Muthanna Al-Hanooti, had been indicted as a spy. In addition, Al-Hanooti is accused of secretly funding the October 2002 pre-invasion trip to Iraq of three antiwar House Democrats, Congressmen Jim McDermott (D-WA), Mike Thompson (D-CA), and David E. Bonior (D-MI, now retired. Muthanna Al-Hanooti was given an offer that federal prosecutors say he couldn't refuse: Set up a trip for U.S. lawmakers to pre-war Iraq and earn 2 million barrels of Iraqi oil in return.

An indictment unsealed Wednesday in Detroit accuses Al-Hanooti, a member of a Michigan nonprofit group, of making those arrangements in 2002 at the behest of Saddam Hussein's regime. The deal allegedly was financed by Iraqi intelligence officials through an intermediary.

At the time, the Bush administration was trying to persuade Congress to authorize military action against Iraq. The three anti-war Democratic lawmakers apparently targeted by Al-Hanooti used their October 2002 trip to call for a diplomatic solution in Iraq.

Pentagon Sacks Specialist on Islamist Extremism

What is going on at the Pentagon? Whatever this crap is, it sure as hell is resembling a shady shift in their policy terrain and painfully ugly transparent pandering. From Pentagon Sacks Specialist on Islamist Extremism:

Stephen Coughlin, the Pentagon specialist on Islamic law and Islamist extremism, has been fired from his position on the military's Joint Staff, following opposition to his work by pro-Muslim officials within the office of Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England.

Coughlin is one of the U.S. government's most important figures in analyzing the nature of extremism and ultimately preparing to wage ideological war against it.

Pentagon officials have initiated an aggressive "outreach" program to U.S. Muslim groups that critics say is lending credibility to a budding support network for Islamist extremists, including front groups for the radical Muslim Brotherhood. Coughlin wrote a memorandum several months ago based on documents made public in a federal trial in Dallas that revealed a covert plan by the Muslim Brotherhood to subvert the U.S. using front groups.

According to this piece, Mr. Coughlin was fired as a Joint Staff contractor after a confrontation with Hasham Islam, a Muslim (who woulda thunk it) who refers to Mr. Coughlin as a "Christian zealot with a pen". Defense and military officials supportive of Mr. Coughlin said the real reason is that critics, like Mr. Islam want him sidelined because they oppose his hard-to-refute views on the relationship between Islamic law and Islamist jihad doctrine. Those views have triggered a harsh debate challenging the widespread and politically correct view of Islam as a religion of peace hijacked by extremists.

You know, I never thought I would see the day when the Pentagon itself would go limp against the very same barbarians who tried to blow it up seven years ago.

What has happened to my country? Oh wait, I know. Libtards and left-wing radicals destroyed it.

Dear President Bush

Dear President Bush,

Today you stated that Israel should cease its "occupation" of Arab land. What is Arab land, Mr. President? Who decides its borders? Do you? No, I don't think you have the authority to tell Israel, another sovereign nation, how to administer its cities and villages.

The fact that Muslims charge that the Gaza Strip is still "occupied" even though palestinians exercise self-government, and the Israeli civilian and military presence in this territory have been removed, reveals a flawed bias, Mr. President. It means that the charge of "occupation" is a ruse to serve the Islamic agenda to destroy Israel.

No concession that Israel could ever make will be enough for the imperialistic land-grabbing Muslims. That fact could not be any clearer - and their arrogance could not be any more abominable.

The current "occupation" that you referred to today was caused by the widespread cold-blooded murder of Israeli civilians by Muslims.

William Bennett, Jack Kemp, and Jeane Kirkpatrick tell us that the root of the conflict is not Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.

The West Bank and Gaza (controlled by Jordan and Egypt from 1948 to 1967) came under Israeli control during the Six Day War of 1967 that started when Egypt closed the Straits of Tiran and Arab armies amassed on Israel's borders to invade and liquidate the state.

It is important to note that during their 19-year rule, neither Jordan nor Egypt had made any effort to establish a Palestinian state on those lands.

Just before the Arab nations launched their war of aggression against the State of Israel in 1967, Syrian Defense Minister (later President) Hafez Assad stated, "Our forces are now entirely ready . . . to initiate the act of liberation itself, and to explode the Zionist presence in the Arab homeland . . . the time has come to enter into a battle of annihilation."

Israel has, in fact, returned most of the land that it captured during the 1967 war and right after that war offered to return all of it in exchange for peace and normal relations; the offer was rejected. As a result of the 1978 Camp David accords -- in which Egypt recognized the right of Israel to exist and normal relations were established between the two countries -- Israel returned the Sinai desert, a territory three times the size of Israel and 91 percent of the territory Israel took control of in the 1967 war.

Israel is the only country in the region that permits citizens of all faiths to worship freely and openly.

While Jews are not permitted to live in many Arab countries, Arabs are granted full citizenship and have the right to vote in Israel. Arabs are also free to become members of the Israeli parliament (the Knesset). In fact, several Arabs have been democratically elected to the Knesset and have been serving there for years. Arabs living in Israel have more rights and are freer than most Arabs living in Arab countries.

The oft-cited UN Resolution 242 (passed in the wake of the 1967 war) does not, in fact, require a complete withdrawal from the West Bank. As legal scholar Eugene Rostow put it, "Resolution 242, which as undersecretary of state for political affairs between 1966 and 1969 I helped produce, calls on the parties to make peace and allows Israel to administer the territories it occupied in 1967 until 'a just and lasting peace in the Middle East' is achieved. When such a peace is made, Israel is required to withdraw its armed forces 'from territories' it occupied during the Six-Day War -- not from 'the' territories nor from 'all' the territories, but from some of the territories."

In sum, a fair and balanced portrayal of the Middle East will reveal that one nation stands far above the others in its commitment to human rights and democracy as well as in its commitment to peace and mutual security. That nation is Israel.

What you denounced today, Mr. President, as "occupation", is a result of urban guerrilla warfare at the hands of a depraved society. This is tragic. To call it an "occupation" is to deliberately distort language for political advantage.

George Fletcher said:

It is not illegal for victorious powers to occupy hostile territory seized in the course of war until they are able to negotiate a successful peace treaty with their former enemies. The Palestinians have failed to recognize this fact. As former President Bill Clinton stressed at a conference in New York, the Camp David proposal was the most sweeping peace effort ever made, and the Palestinians said no.

From biblical times, when this disputed territory belonged to Jews, to its occupation by the British army at the end of World War I, Palestine had never existed as a distinct political entity but was rather part of one empire after another, from the Romans, to the Arabs, to the Ottomans.

According to the Peel Commission, published in 1937, at the end of World War I, some of Palestine's land was owned by absentee landlords who lived in Cairo, Damascus and Beirut. About 80% of the Palestinian Arabs were debt-ridden peasants, semi-nomads and Bedouins. Analyses of land purchases from 1880 to 1948 show that 73% of Jewish plots were purchases from large Arab landowners.

On a list in an article "Our Fathers On The Take", published in the weekly Fasl al-Maqal, owned by Arab-Israeli parliament deputy Azmi Beshara, the weekly's editor-in-chief, Awad Abdel Fatah reported that the names of Arabs who sold land to Jews came from an official document dating back to the British mandate in Palestine, which the paper received from official sources in Jordan.

Mussa al-Alami, who headed the Palestinian delegation to the London Conference of 1939, sold 90 hectares (222 acres) to Jews in Bisan, now the north Israeli city of Beit Shean, according to the list.

Ragheb al-Nashashibi, mayor of Jerusalem from 1920-1934 and head of the National Defense Party, sold over 120 hectares (296 acres) of land in Jaffa, outside Tel Aviv.

Nashashibi also sold land in east Jerusalem upon which Hebrew University was later built.

Yaakub al-Ghussein, who headed the Arab Fund created to gather money to support the Palestinian cause, sold land to Jews in Jaffa and what is now the Gaza Strip for 4,000 Palestinian pounds, equivalent to British pound sterling at that era.

And the other elite Muslim and Christian families, including the Abdel Hadi, Bseiso, and Fahum clans, were also represented on that list.

According to the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Jews paid more than $20 million at 1936 rates to Arab landowners, mostly estate holders.

In 1944, Jews paid between $1000 and $1100 per acre in Palestine, mostly for arid or semi-arid land; in the same year, rich black soil in Iowa was selling for about $110 per acre.

The state of Israel was created by an internationally recognized act of national self-determination -- an act, moreover, undertaken by an ancient people in its own homeland.

As is well known, the Arabs rejected the partition plan when they rejected UN Resolution 181—a resolution that would have created the very first Palestinian nation in the history of the world - and it was aborted by the effort of the Palestinians and of the surrounding Arab states in their own efforts to destroy the Jewish state at birth.

It's also ethnocentric to claim that only a certain ethnic group has rights to own land, as is the claim by the Arabs. The land certainly wasn't stolen from the Arabs, that's for sure. The land was bought and paid for - by Jews.

So, Mr. President, I reject your statement that "palestinian" land is "occupied".

Before Israel was attacked in 1973, it occupied less of the land that is now in dispute, and before 1967, it occupied none of it.

The palestinian's attempts to justify terrorism, their murder of noncombatants, women and children, their crimes against humanity, by repeating the meaningless catch words: occupation, occupation, occupation, shoud be met with cries of terrorism, terrorism, terrorism.

Rabbis warn Bush: Annapolis will bring destruction to US

A group of prominent nationalist rabbis issued a harshly-worded letter to United States President George W. Bush earlier this week, warning him that the upcoming Annapolis peace conference would bring destruction upon America.

"We wrote to President Bush, a man who believes in the Bible, to warn him against the terrible danger to which he is exposing his country by hosting such a conference," said Rabbi Meir Druckman, one of signatories to the letter.

"The land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel. God punishes anyone who coerces Israel to give up its land," he said.

"There is no doubt the New Orleans flood from the Katrina hurricane was God's punishment for evicting the settlements, " said Druckman, "with hundreds of thousands left homeless, hundreds killed or wounded and billions of dollars sent down the drain – can we really ignore God's hand collecting an eye for an eye?"

The disengagement from Gaza and the northern West Bank was completed August 23rd, 2005 – which was also the date Hurricane Katrina formed over the Bahamas.

"This time the Almighty is warning the US in advance: if the plague of water was not enough now he shall send flames. While hundreds of thousands of families have already fled the terrible fires in California, and we ask you, will you really forge ahead with this malevolent plan?" added Druckman.

The rabbis urged Bush's administration to back down from the current direction of the peace process, saying that not an inch of Israeli land should be ceded. "Be merciful to yourselves and the beloved America and its citizens. Lay down the hand you have raised against the Creator in war. No Jews Allowed in Annapolis

Folks, you must really understand some of the most significant details of what happened in Annapolis. I am hardly the political analyst; instead, I pay attention to hard facts, figures, years, data, and statistics. And people's behavior. How one behaves says it all. In Annapolis, the fact that the Jews were asked to enter the conference room through a different door than the one that was used by the arabs should have been the signal for the Israeli team to pick themselves up out of that pig-sty and to vow to never again sit down and negotiate with Muslim sub-human terrorists. Bargain with those Arab pig bastards while they ask the Israeli team to use another door? Screw that crap. And to hell with Condi Rice, for growing up in the segregated South, yet never saying anything to the Arabs asking the Jews to use another entrance. Condi Rice's silence was criminal. This week the Bush Administration legitimized Arab anti-Semitism. In an effort to please the Saudis and their Arab brothers, the Bush administration agreed to physically separate the Jews from the Arabs at the Annapolis conference in a manner that aligns with the apartheid policies of the Arab world which prohibit Israelis from setting foot on Arab soil.

Evident everywhere, the discrimination against Israel received its starkest expression at the main assembly of the Annapolis conference on Tuesday. There, in accordance with Saudi demands, the Americans prohibited Israeli representatives from entering the hall through the same door as the Arabs.

At the meeting of foreign ministers on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni called her Arab counterparts to task for their discriminatory treatment. "Why doesn't anyone want to shake my hand? Why doesn't anyone want to be seen speaking to me?" she asked pointedly.

Israel's humiliated foreign minister did not receive support from her American counterpart. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who spent her childhood years in the segregated American South, sided with the Arabs. Although polite enough to note that she doesn't support the slaughter of Israelis, she made no bones about the fact that her true sympathies lie with the racist Arabs.

As she put it, "I know what it is like to hear that you cannot go on a road or through a checkpoint because you are a Palestinian. I understand the feeling of humiliation and powerlessness. "

Rice's remarks make clear that for the Secretary of State there is no difference between Israelis trying to defend themselves from a jihadist Palestinian society which supports the destruction of the Jewish state and bigoted white Southerners who oppressed African Americans because of the color of their skin. It is true that Israel has security concerns, but as far as Rice is concerned, the Palestinians are the innocent victims. They are the ones who are discriminated against and humiliated, not Livni, who was forced - by Rice - to enter the conference through the service entrance.

The Bush administration' s tolerance for discrimination against Israel was not merely ceremonial. Diplomatically, the conference was equally prejudicial. At Annapolis, the US joined the Arabs in placing the lion's share of blame for the absence of peace between Israel and the Palestinians on Israel. But you wouldn't know that from listening to Olmert, who is working steadily to hide what happened there.

Israeli defense officials responded pessimistically Thursday to news that former NATO commander Gen. James Jones had been tapped by Secretary of State Rice as the new special envoy to coordinate security between Israel and the Palestinians. Officials warned Thursday that Jones, who is known for having a cold attitude towards Israel, would put pressure on the IDF to prematurely compromise on security issues at a time that the Palestinian security forces are not yet prepared to crack down on terror - as they are expected to under the Roadmap. "Even though he failed, [U.S. security coordinator Lt.-Gen. Keith] Dayton at least tried," an official said. "It is not clear that Jones will make such an effort so as not to ruin his chances of making a political career in the future."
