Inon Schenker, an AIDS prevention specialist, is director of Operation Abraham, a project launched last year that dispatched Israeli surgeons to teach circumcision in Africa.

Studies conducted between 2004 and 2006 in South Africa, Uganda and Kenya found that the risk of contracting AIDS in heterosexual sex is 50-60% less among men who are circumcised.

Because it is obligatory under Jewish law, male circumcision is nearly universal in Israel.

With the support of the Hadassah Medical Organization, the Jerusalem AIDS Project sent three delegations of surgeons to teach adult circumcision in Swaziland, the southern African nation with the highest prevalence of AIDS in the world.

The Israeli teams included an Israeli Arab doctor with experience in Muslim ritual circumcision.

There is another types of Muslim ritual circumcision called female genital mutilation (FGM).

"Conservatives in the Egyptian parliament have made female genital mutilation (circumcision) legal again in Egypt."

Conservatives? What unevolved retarded neanderthal uses the term "conservative" to describe these barbarians? Conservative? These are misogynist sadists. What a cruel misrepresentation to describe the barbaric act of slicing off the clitoris of a child as "conservative". That one would use such terminology to describe such a cruel painful hateful anti-female primitive act is like calling Hitler "ethnically challenged". Leave it to the left to soften the west in order to dilute the horrors inherent in Islam's sharia law. From INN:

Conservatives in the Egyptian parliament have made female genital mutilation (circumcision) legal again in Egypt. The conservatives succeeded in striking several laws that had been passed by the parliament's religious Shura Council in the past. The laws canceled also include a law limiting marriage age to 18 and up, a law permitting a mother to register a child on her name and a law allowing neighbors of a family that beats its children to report the beatings to the police.

One of the parliament's members said that the law permitting a mother to register a child on her name "encourages adultery."

A Cairo appellate judge who is also the legal advisor to the Council for the Mother and Child said that the decision to strike the laws contravened international agreements signed by Egypt.

These photos were taken in April 2006 at an annual "ceremony", sponsored by the Assalaam Foundation, an Islamic educational and social-services organization in Indonesia, where female circumcisions take place in a prayer center or an emptied-out elementary-school classroom where desks are pushed together and covered with sheets and a pillow to serve as makeshift beds.

According to the NY Times, the annual mass circumcision is free and open to the public and held during the lunar month marking the birth of Mohammed. The Assalaam Foundation runs several schools and a mosque in Bandung, Indonesia’s third-largest city and the capital of West Java.

The photographer Stephanie Sinclair was taken to the circumcision event by a reproductive-health observer from Jakarta and allowed to spend several hours there. Over the course of that Sunday morning, more than 200 girls were circumcised, many of them appearing to be under the age of 5.

According to Lukman Hakim, the foundation’s chairman of social services, there are three “benefits” to circumcising girls.

“One, it will stabilize her libido,” he said through an interpreter. “Two, it will make a woman look more beautiful in the eyes of her husband. And three, it will balance her psychology.”
The NY Times calls this horrific practice "a ceremony", a tactic to dilute the barbaric nature of Islam's genital mutilation customs and its inherent misogyny. The NY Times has, as David Gutmann says, "avoided that Mother of All Pathologies - the Arab male's denigration of his women. A few critical references about honor killings and female genital mutilation and that's about it. Perhaps because the Deep Thinkers can't blame Islamic misogyny on Bush, they won't touch it in any depth."

The death of a 12-year-old Egyptian girl at the hands of a doctor performing female circumcision in the country's south has sparked a public outcry and prompted health and religious authorities this week to ban the practice.

The girl, Badour Shaker, died earlier in June while being circumcised in an illegal clinic in the southern town of Maghagh. Her mother, Zeniab Abdel Ghani, told the Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper that she had paid $9 dollars to a female physician to perform the procedure.

The mother also told the paper that the doctor later tried to bribe her to withdraw a lawsuit accusing the physician of murder, in return for $3,000, but she refused.

A forensic investigation into the case showed the girl's death was caused by an anesthesia overdose during the procedure.

On Thursday, the Egyptian Health Ministry issued a decree on female circumcision, stating that it is "prohibited for any doctors, nurses, or any other person to carry out any cut of, flattening or modification of any natural part of the female reproductive system, either in government hospitals, non government or any other places."

It warned that violators of the ban would be punished, but did not specify the penalty. The ban is not as enforceable as a law, which requires passage in the national legislature.

Female genital mutilation, FGM, or as it is often called, female circumcision, usually involves the removal of the clitoris and other parts of female genitalia. Those who practice it believe it tames a girl's sexual desires and maintains her honor.

It is practiced by Muslims and Christians alike (Smooth: I have never seen any evidence of Christian Female Genital Mutilation in my 10 years of researching this barbaric practice except in this article from the State Department), deeply rooted in the Nile Valley region and parts of sub-Saharan African, and is also practiced in Yemen and Oman.

Despite that order, the practice continued in Egypt, mostly carried out by barbers, midwives and amateurs. The order was reversed in 1995, shortly after the CNN film, with female circumcision being permitted by medical staff only, in a move to stem amateur practicing.

Although the documentary embarrassed Cairo internationally, it failed to propel the parliament to pass a new child bill penalizing circumcision.

A 2003 survey by the United Nation's children's agency, UNICEF, said that 97 percent of married women in Egypt have undergone genital mutilation.

But the Egyptian government considers the 97 percent inaccurate. A recent study among schoolgirls by Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population found that 50.3 percent of girls between the age of 10-18 years have been circumcised.

While top clerics here insist that the practice has nothing to do with Islam, parents, especially in villages and Cairo slums, believe they are helping their daughters. They think circumcision is necessary for cleanliness and to protect a girl's virginity before marriage.

Opponents say that girls who undergo botched operations — along with doctors, amateurs without anesthesia often still perform the circumcision — can bleed to death, suffer from chronic urinary infections and have life-threatening complications in childbirth.

Al-Azhar University Scholars Argue over the Legitimacy of Female Circumcision Practiced in Egypt on Al-Arabiya TV

Mahmoud Ashur: "Female circumcision is a traditional custom, and not a religious act. All the hadiths dealing with female circumcision are unreliable. Moreover, the hadith cited by those who support circumcision calls to refrain from it more than it calls to perform it.

"Female circumcision is not part of Islam. Rather, it is a traditional custom. Under no circumstances should we follow this custom, because it leaves a deep wound in the souls of these girls, which has a psychological, emotional, and social impact on their lives. But they were divided with regard to its status in shari'a. Some said that female circumcision is required by shari'a, just like male circumcision. Some said this is the mainstream practice, while others said it is a noble act. But throughout the history of Islam, nobody has ever said that performing female circumcision is a crime. There has been a religious ruling on this for 14 centuries."

Mahmoud Ashur: "In the days of Jahiliya [i.e. the pre-Islamic period] and in the early days of Islam, a man whose mother carried out this custom was scorned by people who called him 'you son of a clitoris cutter.' This proves that it was never part of the religion of Islam. As for male circumcision, it is the approved mainstream practice, as determined by Islam and as instructed by the Prophet Muhammad."

"There is no doubt that we must reach agreement on this issue. There must be a decisive view and a resolute decision on this custom especially, because it is evil. When people perform it, they do so out of extreme ignorance, and it has a severe impact on marital life."

Muhammad Al-Mussayar: "First of all, there are reliable hadiths in Al-Bukhari and Al-Muslim which support female circumcision. The Prophet Muhammad said: 'If a circumcised woman and man have intercourse, they must undergo ablution.' Unreliable hadiths do not cancel out the reliable ones. We have unreliable hadiths regarding prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage. Should we abolish prayer and charity just because some hadiths are unreliable? According to some hadiths in Al-Bukhari and Al-Muslim, 'If a circumcised woman and man have intercourse, they must undergo ablution.' People would curse one another by saying: 'You son of a clit woman' - the son of a non-circumcised woman. The objections to circumcision are illogical and unnatural.

Interviewer: What is the justification for doing this?

Muhammad Al-Mussayar: "First of all, allow me... Regarding the claim that the instruments are not sterile - this is the reality and is not part of religious law. If there are dentists who do not sterilize their instruments, should we abolish medical faculties and dental clinics, or should we demand that they rectify the situation? Flawed reality cannot serve as a religious argument. The claim that female circumcision leads to barrenness is not true. The Muslim woman bears more children than any other woman. It is the Western woman who is barren, even though she is not circumcised. Moreover, when talking about nervous breakdowns... This is considered a day of celebration for the family."

Interviewer: "A day of celebration for the family?! Let me begin with the psychological effects. According to some studies, when there is a celebration, and sweets are given to the girl, and then an act is performed in which the girl's flesh is cut off... this makes her lose trust in her family, first of all. This generates an inner problem. As for the medical, physical problem, there is a problem in childbirth. There are lacerations, microbes, deformities - this is what the doctors say."

Muhammad Al-Mussayar: "Sterilization is necessary in such cases. Cutting off a part of the human body does not mean a violation of its sanctity. How many human body parts are cut off in plastic surgery, and so on, yet we do not consider this offensive to the woman?"

Interviewer: "What is the reason for circumcising girls?"

Muhammad Al-Mussayar: "First of all, the claim that this is a Pharaonic or Jahili practice..."

Interviewer: "Let's assume that this is a religious requirement..."

Muhammad Al-Mussayar: "It isn't..."

Interviewer: "Nevertheless, hypothetically speaking, what is the main reason for this?"

Muhammad Al-Mussayar: "Some sources said: 'Reduce, but do not remove.' In other words, it is neither about removing the organ, nor about leaving it. It is a trustworthy Muslim doctor who makes the decision. She decides whether the girl needs it or not. We do not obligate every girl to undergo circumcision. We say it should be left up to the doctor, and she can evaluate the case and determine whether the girl needs circumcision or not."

Interviewer: "Why would she need it? Sheikh Mahmoud Ashur, would you like to comment? What are the reasons that one could say... Go ahead..."

Mahmoud Ashur: "If it is left up to the doctor, then it is a custom and not part of the religion."

Muhammad Al-Mussayar: "Female circumcision is no less valid just because it was practiced in Pharaonic times and in the Jahiliya. Islam accepted some customs, which were harmonious with human nature, and rejected others, which contradicted human nature."

Arab Muslim leaders lick each other's egos

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a message to Hezbollah head Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, described the militant group's clashes with Israel as a "victory" for Islam.

"Your unprecedented holy war and steadfastness are beyond the limits of my description. It's a divine victory. It is a victory of Islam," Khamenei said in the message read by an announcer on Hezbollah's Al-Manar television.

Hezbollah is heavily financed and backed by Iran's Shiite Muslim theocracy.

"With God's help you were able to prove that military superiority is not (measured) in the number (of soldiers), planes, warships and tanks. Rather, it depends on the power of faith and holy war," Khamenei said.

"You have ridiculed the myth that the Zionist army is invincible," he said.

Khamenei said Israeli attacks that killed Lebanese civilians and destroyed much of the country's infrastructure have exposed "the real face of America and some European countries, side-by-side with the hated and repugnant Zionist face."

"They (Israeli attacks) have also uncovered the level of falsehood surrounding the hollow slogans ... about human rights and democracy," Khamenei said.

He lashed out at President Bush for declaring that the Israeli assault in Lebanon was self-defense and had defeated the Shiite guerrillas.

Khamenei is the supreme religious authority to Hezbollah followers.

Spotlight on Sudan

Sudan's government is a radical regime that terrorizes its own population with brutal slave raids. Amidst civil war and inter-ethnic strife, the Sudanese government has launched a great revival of the country's once virtually-extinct institution of black chattel slavery. The victims: women and children abducted by Muslim militiamen during devastating raids.

Sudan means "land of the blacks" in Arabic, and for centuries black Africans were abducted in Sudan as part of the Arabian slave trade. Sudan's borders — drawn by the British during colonial times- encompass Muslim Arabs in the north and, in the south, black Africans of various faiths. A radical fundamentalist movement pressured the government to impose Sha'ria (Islamic law), on all of Sudan in 1983 — at which time slave raids were reintroduced against black African villages in the south and Nuba Mountains.

A 1989 military coup by the fundamentalist General Omar el-Bashir spurred a dramatic increase in slave raids, which still continue today. Armed by the government, militiamen destroy villages and take their pay in human booty. Grown men are shot, but women and children are the marauders' most prized reward. Forced labor without pay, severe beatings, acute hunger, forced religious and cultural conversion, rape, and ritual female genital mutilation are grim realities for the tens of thousands of children and young mothers now in bondage.

The most dreaded news I could imagine, my worst nightmare, has come true: Ehud Olmert's Kadima party revealed yesterday it would divide Jerusalem and allow a Palestinian state to be established in parts of Israel's "eternal capital."

"The Old City, Mount Scopus, the Mount of Olives, the City of David, Sheikh Jarra will remain in our hands, but [regarding] Kafr Akeb, Abu-Ram, Shuafat, Hizma, Abu-Zaim, Abu-Tur, Abu Dis, in the future, when the Palestinian state is established, they will become its capital," said Otniel Schneller, a Kadima member who represented the party at a debate yesterday on dividing Jerusalem.

There is no ethical or religious basis behind sharing Jerusalem.

This grievous announcement is the final aim of the Muslims and their appeasers to islamize Jerusalem which in turn, undermines the legitimacy of Judiaism and Christianity, both which observe Jerusalem to be a holy city.

The mythical holiness of Jerusalem to Muslims always was and still is no more than a politically motivated holiness. The Muslim claim to Jerusalem is FALSE!

Mohammed could never have had the Al Aqsa mosque in mind when he compiled the Koran, since it did not exist for another three generations after his death. At the time of Mohammed, who died in 632 AD, Jerusalem was a Christian city within the Byzantine Empire. Jerusalem was captured by Khalif Omar only in 638 AD, six years after Mohammed's death. Throughout all this time there were only churches in Jerusalem, and a church stood on the Temple Mount, called the Church of Saint Mary of Justinian, built in the Byzantine architectural style.

In or around 711 AD, or about 80 years after Mohammed died, Abd El-Wahd - who ruled from 705-715 AD - reconstructed the Christian- Byzantine Church of St. Mary and converted it into a mosque. He left the structure as it was and added a dome on top of the building to make it look like a mosque. He then
named it El-Aksa, so it would sound like the one mentioned in the Koran.

Have you ever asked why Muslims turn their back on Jerusalem in prayer? Because Jerusalem does not hold any sanctity for Muslims.

More recently, Jerusalem first was divided into eastern and western sections when Jordan invaded and occupied Jerusalem and the Old City in 1947, expelling all Jewish inhabitants. Israel built its capital in the western part of the city, while the eastern quarters remained under Jordanian control until Israel captured it, along with the Old City, in 1967 after Jordan's King Hussein ignored Israeli pleas for his country to stay out of the Six Day War.

During the 19 years of Arab sovereignty, the ancient Jewish Quarter of the Old City was ravaged, 58 synagogues – some centuries old – were destroyed and slum dwellings were built abutting the Western Wall.

Jews were not allowed to visit their holy places and Israeli Christians were subjected to many restrictions, with only limited numbers allowed to visit the Old City and Bethlehem at Christmas and Easter.

Folks, everyone knows about Munich, September 1938: Britain and France generously donate a big slice of Czechoslovakia to Hitler, in exchange for "peace with honor," "peace in our time". What followed? Kristillnacht, in November, 1938.

Appeasement doesn't merely fail to prevent catastrophe, it provokes catastrophe.

King David made the city of Jerusalem his capital. Mohammed had never been to Jerusalem.

In the Jewish Bible, Jerusalem has many names: Salem (Shalem), Moriah, Jebuse (Yevuse), Jerusalem (Yerushalayim), and Zion (Tziyon). The most common term for the city, Yerushalayim, is mentioned 349 times in the Jewish Bible, while Tziyon is mentioned an additional 108 times.

The earliest mention of the site is Genesis 4:18, when Abraham interacts with Malchizedek, King of Shalem. According to Jewish tradition the story of the Binding of Isaac (Genesis 22:1-19) also takes place in the "land of Moriah" on the site of the present-day Temple Mount. Abraham chooses the site specifically because he sensed how God's presence is strongly connected to this site.

When Jews pray three times a day, they always turn toward Jerusalem. Jerusalem is mentioned numerous times in Jewish daily prayers and in the "Grace After Meals." Jews close the Passover Seder with the words "Next Year in Jerusalem." These same words are invoked to conclude the holiest day of the Jewish year, Yom Kippur. The Jewish national day of mourning, Tisha B'Av, commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples. During a Jewish wedding ceremony, the groom breaks a glass as a sign of mourning to commemorate the destruction of the two Temples which stood on Mount Moriah. The breaking of the glass is accompanied by the recitation of part of Psalm 137. Some religious Jews often keep a small section of one wall in their house unplastered and unpainted, as a sign of mourning for the destruction of the Temple.

For most of Islam's 1,400-year period, despite its status as the third holiest Islamic city, Jerusalem remained a backwater, run-down town under Islamic control. Exceptions were during both the Umayyid period (7th to mid-8th century) and the Mamluk period (mid-13th to early-16th century), when major Islamic building projects were carried out in the city.

It is worth noting that the inaugural PLO Covenant of 1964 does not mention Jerusalem. Only after the city fell back to Jewish control did the updated PLO Covenant of 1968 mention Jerusalem by name.

For all of these reasons, I refuse to bow down to the mythology of Islam and its canard that Jerusalem is holy to Muslims.

Iran defends planned Holocaust conference

Folks, on Tuesday, Iran defended its plan to organize a conference to examine what it terms the scientific evidence for the Holocaust. "For over half a century, those who seek to prove the Holocaust have used every podium to defend their position. Now they should listen to others," Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hamid Reza Asefi, was quoted as saying Tuesday by the official Islamic Republic News Agency.

Ahmadinejad already had called the Nazis' World War II slaughter of 6 million European Jews a "myth" and said the Jewish state should be "wiped off the map."

Folks, guess what. There is no law on earth that requires the Jewish people to accept the revision of their history nor their own demise merely because Muslims say we should.

There is a mountain of evidence proving the nature and scale of the Holocaust. The Nazis' use of gas chambers has been established by, among countless other sources, the 1946 Nuremberg confession of Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Höss, as well as the 250-page autobiographical manuscript he wrote while awaiting execution.

The estimate of six million killed is supported by a spate of historical studies, and also by Nazi physician Wilhelm Hoettel, who testified at Nuremberg that: "In the various concentration camps approximately four million Jews had been killed, while about two million were killed in other ways." None of this evidence convinces the true denier, of course. He is, by necessity, a conspiracy theorist. To him, every confession was coerced, every photograph faked.

Psychological profiles of today's most prominent deniers display clearly that deniers see the "holohoax" as a plot by Jews to discredit the Nazi regime and the German people.

It is tempting to mock confused Holocaust deniers because Holocaust deniers manifest such contempt for its subjects. Holocaust deniers and those that propose open-ended baited questions that support that Holocaust denier's sinewy conspiracies are malignant personalities. No matter what Ahmadinejad says, he will never give birth to intellectual strength.

See, folks, it's quite clear that Ahmadinejad wants to create his own Jewish Holocaust. Ahmadinejad's role model is Adolf Hitler, the German coward who committed suicide because he and his life's goal were an utter failure. Ahmadinejad is radicalized and has pursued a career of savagery and barbarism. He is the Muslim that represents Islam, the fabricated "religion of peace". It is outrageous in the extreme that the world would accept a scheme that would permit Arabs like Ahmadinejad to have an ethnically cleansed geographical region where no Jews can live.

Face it, folks, Islam has not and will not experience any reformation because it is immutable by design. The concept of jihad is unique to Islam. It is the only religion specifically designed to wage endless war until it subjugates the entire world. Islam at its core is lethally militaristic and institutionalizes homicide.

Homicide is Islam's manifest destiny and Ahmadinejad is just one of the tens of millions of Islam's minions. Don't get me wrong. I am open-minded, modern, progressive and tolerant. I just refuse to be one of the billions invested in the pretense that Islam has something more to offer than just terrorism, rioting, the death of free speech and artistic expression, Jew-hatred, female genital mutilation, limb amputation, gang rape, stoning to death for victims of gang rape, hanging underage girls in public parks, well, you get the idea. But that's just me.

The problem for the rest of you who have been willingly duped, or rather the solution is, that Muslims should and will be suspect until Islam is reformed and their violent methods are eliminated. All in all, it is pan-Arab and Palestinian Arab rejection of Israel's right to exist and not Israeli policies that are the cause of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Muslim Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)

The mutilation of Muslim girls’ genitals is on a steady rise throughout Europe.

Young girls born in Europe to immigrant Muslim families, mostly from Africa, are being assaulted with female genital mutilation (FGM).

No one, save a handful of courageous activists, is doing anything about it.

The Scotsman.com recently reported that Waris Dirie, the Somalia-born supermodel and best-selling author, who has campaigned to stop female genital mutilation (which disfigured her at age five in her homeland), has stated that approximately one out of every three African families in Europe is secretly perpetrating this crime against their daughters. Germany, the Netherlands and Austria are the main scenes of this barbarity -- where approximately 8,000 girls have been assaulted.

European authorities, with the exception of those in France, are benignly standing by, operating according to the progressive Party Line that disallows any criticism of Third World cultures in general -- and Islamic culture in particular. Police officers, social workers, teachers, doctors and nurses operate under the social obligation not to report this crime.

This sexual lobotomy of women is usually performed on girls at the age of seven or eight, right before their menstrual periods begin. The impulse behind this savagery is clear: the hatred of women and the terrifying fear of their sexuality. Demonizing female sexual desire and pleasure -- and annihilating it -- becomes the priority. To successfully achieve female genital mutilation, therefore, the mutilators have to legitimize and institutionalize it. As a result, they socially construct the pathological ideology that a girl’s genital area is “dirty” and, therefore, unacceptable. In Egypt, an uncircumcised girl is considered nigsa (unclean). The way she becomes non-nigsa is to have her clitoris sliced off. In Sudan, the term used for getting rid of the clitoris is tahur -- which means “cleansing” or “purification.”

Africa and Arabia are the regions where misogynists carry out the highest number of these “purifications.” Muslims serve as the principal religious group that bestows this cleansing gift unto women. In Egypt, 97 percent of girls are circumcised. Nawal el Saadawi, a leading Egyptian feminist and author, describes in her autobiography, The Hidden Face of Eve, how, at the age of six, this monstrosity was violently perpetrated against her -- while her mother stood by and smiled proudly.

While Egyptian girls’ clitorises are amputated (clitoridectomy), in countries like Sudan the purifiers are not so kind: all the women’s external genital organs are completely removed. In a crime against humanity called infibulation, the clitoris, the two major outer lips (labia majora) and the two minor inner lips (labia minora) are amputated.

Many of the “purified” victims lose their lives during this torture – which is often inflicted with broken glass. Most victims suffer from severe and chronic infections and pain for the rest of their lives. With serious and disabling lifelong consequences, the mutilation robs women of their equilibrium forever. It deprives them from enjoying the fullness of their sexuality and the completeness of their lives.

More than a hundred and thirty million women living today have been victimized by this horrifying crime, and more than two million girls are assaulted by it each year. In other words, we are talking about 6,000 girls every day -- 6,000 girls today.

In terms of sexual pleasure, we know that approximately 75 percent of women cannot achieve orgasm without clitoral stimulation. In other words, the possibility of orgasm has been obliterated for all of these millions of victims. And since the psychic, mental and physical health of women cannot be complete without sexual pleasure, it means that all of these millions of women as beings are mutilated.

Female genital mutilation is a holocaust.

But because most of the victims of this holocaust are women behind the Islamic Curtain, the world turns a blind eye. Since the Left moulds the West’s boundaries of permitted discourse, criticism of cultures -- and especially adversary cultures -- is taboo, unless, of course, it is criticism of American culture, then everything is fair game. Thus, harsh judgement of American culture is not only permissible but highly promoted, while the slightest criticism of Third World cultures represents a violation of the progressive Party Line.

To add to this tragedy: whenever the genital mutilation holocaust is raised, the first chorus that comes from the Muslim community is that this genocide is not rooted in Islam and predates Islam. Well then, why are Muslim girls this genocide's greatest victims? And why do so many Muslims spend more of their time and energy arguing that female genital mutilation is non-Islamic than campaigning to stop this “un-Islamic” barbaric practise from violating their women and defaming their religion?

The answer is simple: female genital mutilation produces the oxygen that Islamic fundamentalism needs to breathe. It helps militant Islam keep intact the foundation on which its life depends: the subjugation and enslavement of women under a rigid system of gender apartheid.

Thus, Islamic clerics and educators do everything in their power to keep this mutilation in place. No wonder the Eqyptian government’s efforts to protect little girls’ sacred body parts are crushed every time. Any hint of opposition to mutilation is consistently met with furious resistance from Islamic clerics, who fervently emphasize that female genital mutilation is Allah’s will and point to the Prophet’s sanctioning of female circumcision in the hadiths to prove it. Umdat al-Salik, e4.3, therefore, a manual of Shafi'i Islamic law, which is endorsed by Al-Azhar University of Cairo, Egypt (the oldest and most prestigious university in the Islamic world), states that circumcision is obligatory for both men and women.

The prominent Egyptian Sheikh Mustafa Al-Azhari is one of the heroes of the pro-mutilation movement. He has led the way by insisting, among other things, that the attempt to stop female genital mutilation is a Western conspiracy designed to spread promiscuity among Muslims. For him, the Egyptian media’s attempt to stop female circumcision is a “crime.” Surgical specialist at Al-Azhar University, Dr. Muhammad Rif'at Al-Bawwab, meanwhile, puts it more simply: the pleasure that women derive from the clitoris is simply just unnatural and abnormal -- and leads to moral degradation.

In terms of the free West, Muslim girls in Europe are not the only tortured victims of mutilation. The savage practise is also perpetrated right here on our continent. And what are North American Muslim leaders and clerics doing about it? What are we doing about it?

Many of our own political leaders and authorities are not doing anything about this silent holocaust because protecting Muslim girls from this sexual genocide would mean criticizing Islamic culture, which would mean the unimaginable: violating the liberal sacred cow of multiculturalism. The Left feels too good about itself and its tolerant ways to get off track by protecting innocent young girls’ genitals from mutilation.

Once again, therefore, the Left has succeeded in continuing its dark tradition of sacrificing human blood on the altar of utopian ideals. The 100 million human corpses socialism engendered in the 20th century were, apparently, not enough.

And so, one heart-wrenching and disquieting question remains: when the next Muslim girl, perhaps right next door to us, is forcibly held down and her genital area is attacked with a piece of broken glass, who will hear her cries?

Cable TV now wears a burqa

Folks, the indoctrination has begun.

A new cable network that claims to be the first U.S. Muslim lifestyle network in English debuts Tuesday. Bridges TV founder and chief executive Muzzammil Hassan, who came to the U.S. from Pakistan in 1979, said his wife came up with the idea in December 2001 while listening to the radio on a road trip.

"Some derogatory comments were being made about Muslims that offended her," Hassan told Reuters ahead of Tuesday's launch. "She was seven months pregnant, and she thought she didn't want her kids growing up in this environment." Hassan says Bridges TV will launch with 50,000 cable and satellite subscribers. He has signed a deal with Comcast, the largest U.S. cable operator, to make it available nationwide. Hassan said the Buffalo-based channel is focused on lifestyle and entertainment, and programs will include Muslim cartoons, educational shows and animated Koran stories.

So Muzzammil Hassan's wife was offended?

Well, guess what, folks?

I speak for hundreds of thousands of Jews and Christians when I say I'm offended by Muslims calling Jews "the sons of monkeys and pigs". The Quran says that Jews are under Allah's curse and were changed by him into monkeys and pigs in Suras 2:62-65, 5:59-60, and 7:166. Christians are thrown in in 5:59-60.

I'm offended by four planes piloted by Muslims who deliberately crashed them into the WTC, Philadelphia and the Pentagon.

I'm offended by Al-Jazeera and how it is a showcase for racist Muslims and terrorists yet there is no outcry from the American artist community, especially in Hollywood, who are noticeably silent.

The list is endless, folks, by how offended I am and how I speak for hundreds of thousands, yet no one would dare offer our voice, those of us who are righteously offended, a cable TV network.

Trust me, folks, this new cable network will attempt to finish what Hitler started. It's just a matter of time.

Female Genital Mutilation Lives on in Djibouti

Late one evening on a stony hill above Djibouti's northern town of Tadjourah, an old Afar woman is squatting comfortably on a thin mat, tiny limbs wrapped tidily up around her. A reputed practitioner of female circumcision, the woman answers questions in a croaking voice about a custom reviled by human rights campaigners as an atrocity against womankind.

Perhaps understandably, she declines to give permission for her name to be published. At one point the old woman falls silent. Then, in a tone suddenly laden with suspicion, she asks her foreign visitor: "Do you want to ban circumcision?"

Despite attempts to stop it, circumcision or female genital mutilation (FGM), remains the norm in Djibouti, a tiny country in northeast Africa (Muslim 94%, Christian 6%), as it does in many communities across the East and West of the continent.

In Djibouti the practice is illegal, but its proponents continue the "cut" and arguments against it have failed to wipe it out.

FGM takes different forms but the most severe, infibulation, prevalent in Djibouti, involves cutting away the inner labia and clitoris then tying the remaining lips together, leaving a tiny hole for urine and menstrual blood.

Abdu Mohmed, a native of Tadjourah now living in the capital Djibouti town, still remembers his sister's screams, and her subsequent dread of blood and knives.

"How many women have been destroyed (by FGM)?" he asks.

A 2002 survey of 1,000 women giving birth at Djibouti's Peltier Hospital concluded that 98 percent of women had been circumcised, of whom the vast majority had been infibulated.

NOMAD TRADITION

In rural areas an even higher rate of infibulation is likely, says Miriam Martinelli, an Italian nurse and research student with more than 10 years of regional experience.
Nobody can say for sure whether the rates have reduced in recent years, because the women giving birth were circumcised several years ago.
Tradition remains strong in Tadjourah, where nomads lead camels with their loads of arid firewood along dusty seaside streets, and small classes of children learn Koranic texts in narrow back streets, sitting on large, upturned tins of powdered milk, boys on one side, girls on the other. But the taboo is slowly being broken.

"At least, now, we can talk about it. It was not like this 10 years ago, and it is not like this in Somalia, for example. So this is a change," said Martinelli.

"The second thing is quite a lot of people among well-educated people and quite high-level people say: 'I don't want to mutilate my daughters, but....' meaning 'there is such a strong pressure on me, my women, and my family that most probably I will again'. Maybe the next generation will say: 'I don't want to, and I won't."'

Attempts to force a solution take time to have an effect. Illiteracy in Djibouti is high, and loyalty to the group generally exceeds trust in meddlesome outsiders. Article 333 of Djibouti's Penal Code, for example, outlaws the practice but few people have ever been arrested. And in August, a German aid group supported a workshop in Tadjourah to disprove FGM's alleged links with Islam.

But less than two months later in Tadjourah -- confusion exists: does Islam forbid, tolerate, recommend or even oblige the different forms of circumcision?

MEDICAL DANGERS

According to the U.N., the medical result of FGM can include pain, trauma, hemorrhage, infection, fracture or dislocation of the hip joint while the struggling girl is held, difficulties with urination and menstruation, infertility and abscesses. And U.N. experts now worry that since FGM causes blood to be present in almost every sexual encounter, the speed of HIV (news - web sites) transmission could dramatically increase. According to a 2002 study, Djibouti's estimated HIV prevalence is still low, by African standards, at 2.9 percent. But together with high fertility, malnutrition, and poor emergency care, FGM is a contributor to Djibouti's high levels of maternal mortality, since hemorrhaging at birth is frequent.

Circumcision significantly reduces female sexual pleasure, and, with almost total closure of the vagina, sex becomes more difficult. Defibulation, or opening of the vagina, is done as a medical procedure, with intercourse or, some say, with a knife. Non-circumcision may seriously reduce the chances of marriage. Family and social pressures to circumcise are enormous.

"The (typical) grandmother says: "if she is not excised (circumcised), she will become a prostitute. She cannot stay in the house," explains Aicha Youssouf, a midwife in Tadjourah. "If she is not (circumcised), she (the Djibouti woman) has a complex, because she believes herself to be different from others...She will think that the man will reject her."

"Everybody will tell you it is not good," said Abdu Mohmed, a native of Tadjourah now living in Djibouti town and frustrated by the slow pace of change, "but nobody is changing the rules."

Great Adventure's Apartheid, Separatist, Un-American Muslims-only day

How apartheid of them. Six Flags Great Adventure is scheduled to host a "Great Muslim Adventure Day" this week in which the park will be open only to Muslims, drawing fire from various monitor groups, WorldNetDaily has learned.

The Muslim Youth Division of the Islamic Circle of North America and the Muslim American Society, two of the largest Muslim organizations in America, have arranged exclusive use of Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J., for the entire day Friday.

The organization expects more than 10,000 Muslims.

Debbie Nauser, vice president of public relations for the Six Flags theme park, confirmed the park would be open only for "Muslims and their friends."

I wonder if Female Genital Mutilation will be one of their theme rides.

An Islamic group is backing off its boast of a Muslims-only day at a popular theme park, just hours after WND brought to light plans for the "Great Muslim Adventure Day."

The article prompted numerous responses from WND readers who informed Six Flags they would stop attending its amusement parks.

WND informed Nauser it recently attended an ICNA-sponsored event featuring a main speaker who voiced empathy and support for suicide bombers, denied Muslims were involved in 9-11, characterized the war on terror as a conspiratorial Zionist plot designed to destroy Islam and Muslims and blamed attacks on affirmative action on "the rise of the Jewish cracker." Also, she was told Judicial Watch charges ICNA has ties to Hamas.

Militant Islam Monitor also says ICNA recently held a conference at Liberty Bell Park in Philidelpha in which a speaker urged youths to join a Jihad traning camp to "educate the youth and provide them with the proper understanding of the concept of Jihad."
