New York Islamist Day Parade

More hubris from radical Muslims - their annual pre-9/11 march on New York. Are you outraged? You should be. From Front Page:

On September 9, 2007, a pre-9/11 celebration of sorts will be taking place in New York City, as Islamists from across the Tri-State area will congregate there for the 22nd Annual Muslim Day Parade. If past parades are any indication, law enforcement will need to be on high alert, as the participants have been amongst the most radical in the nation. Will the city allow this denigration of a very somber day to take place, or will it remember its many victims of terrorism and shut it down?

The parade is being run by the Muslim Foundation of America (MFA), an organization located in the Astoria section of Queens that was founded in 1983, around the time of the first annual parade. In actuality, both the MFA and the parade appear to be the same entity with different names, as the MFA’s website, since it was first created in October of 2003, has been devoted almost entirely to discussing the parade.

Thousands are expected to attend this year’s event. In the past, the number of parade-goers has varied. While some participants may be coming out to experience a day of fun with their fellow religionists, others have an alternative agenda.

The Grand Marshal for the 2006 parade was Siraj Wahhaj, a Brooklyn imam who is known for his fiery speeches, including those that have been considered threatening to the United States. In February of 1995, Wahhaj was named – along with such people as Osama bin Laden and bin Laden’s mentor, Abdullah Azzam – as a potential co-conspirator to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

Another Grand Marshal of a past parade was Muzzamil Siddiqi, the former President of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a mosque umbrella organization that was recently named a co-conspirator to the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas. Siddiqi, like Wahhaj, has also verbally threatened the United States, stating in October of 2000, “America has to learn. If you remain on the side of injustice, the wrath of G-d will come.” There are pictures of Siddiqi speaking at the parade, on the MFA site.

Also pictured at the parade are:

Ashrafuzzaman Khan, the ex-Secretary General of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), which is one of the sponsors of the parade and a top donor to a Pakistani charity that has been providing tens of thousands of dollars to the head of Hamas, Khaled Mashaal. Khan is accused of being a death squad leader for Al-Badr, the Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan’s former paramilitary wing, during the 1971 massacre that led to Bangladesh’s independence, believed to be personally responsible for the murders of seven Bengali teachers at Dhaka University.

Dhabah “Debbie” Almontaser, the former Principal designate of the Khalil Gibran International Academy (KGIA), a controversial Arabic-language children’s school that is set to open its doors less than a week before the parade. Almontaser resigned from her position with KGIA, after it was discovered that a group she was affiliated with – the SABA Association of American Yemenis – had a connection to t-shirts calling for an intifada (violent uprising) in New York City. Almontaser defended the shirts by saying that they were an expression of solidarity with New York.

On the MFA website, in addition to the parade photo gallery, there is also a section titled, “USEFUL LINKS.” Four out of the five links listed (complete with their logos) are national organizations which have been found to be part of the violent Muslim Brotherhood overseas. They include the aforementioned ICNA and ISNA, as well as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim Students Association (MSA). CAIR was created by the American propaganda wing of Hamas, the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), in 1994, and the MSA was the first organization created by the Brotherhood within the United States, in 1963.
Along with the parade, the MFA will be holding an essay contest for children and young adults. The themes for the different age groups vary. For those age 9 – 13 it is ‘Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the best Role Model,’ for ages 14 – 18 it’s ‘The Man is the Best Creation of Allah (SWT),’ and for ages 19 – 23 it’s ‘The Purpose of my Life.’

Shamsi Ali, a member of the parade’s Board of Trustees, runs a children’s madrassa – the Jamaica Muslim Center in Queens – where boys sit all day, Monday through Friday, and memorize the Quran by rote. One of his students and possible participant in the essay contest, a 13 year old named Sameer Uddin, explained to The New York Times his reasons for staying enrolled in Ali’s class. Bringing up disturbing illusions to thoughts of future martyrdom, Sameer stated, “I want to take my parents to heaven.”

The organizers of the parade state that one of their objectives is “to demonstrate and clarify Islamic values and traditions.” However, considering the individuals that have been participating in this parade, and understanding the radical nature of the groups that appear to be aligned with the MFA, we must ask what values and traditions they are talking about. Despite its name, as the American Muslim Day Parade, it is clear that this event has nothing to do with American values and traditions and has more in common with the ideology of the 9/11 hijackers.

The fact that this parade is taking place so close to Ground Zero is an insult to the memory of the 3,000 people who perished there six years before. The event should be taken as a threat to public safety and, therefore, it is incumbent on the city of New York to not only watch all of those involved, but to work to shut down the event completely, along with the sponsoring organizations.

If you are concerned about this parade taking place in New York City two days prior to the anniversary of 9/11 – if you are concerned this parade is taking place at all – contact the Mayor’s office.

Americans Against Hate (AAH) to Protest Muslim Group's National Convention

On Sunday, July 8, 2007, Americans Against Hate (AAH) will be holding a protest outside the 32nd national convention of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and the Muslim American Society (MAS). The event is taking place at the Connecticut Convention Center, in Hartford, Connecticut.

At the protest, AAH will be calling on the United States government to freeze the bank accounts of ICNA and to place the Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami, on the State Department list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs). AAH will be showing proof that both groups have been involved in the financing of Hamas with tens of thousands of dollars, as recently as in August of 2006.

Speaking at the protest will be AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman, who will be flying in from Florida. Also speaking with be Jeffrey Epstein, the founder and President of America’s Truth Forum (ATF).

Kaufman stated, “Major Muslim institutions have been shut down for financing Hamas, and we believe ICNA should be shut down, as well. ICNA is the American arm of the Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan, and we have evidence to show that, only less than one year ago, both groups were involved with presenting $99,000 to the head of Hamas, Khaled Mashaal. We have information to suggest that this money is being used to murder and maim people abroad, and we are calling on our government to take action against these groups immediately to avert any further damage that they may cause now and in the future.”

Further information about this subject can be found, by reading Kaufman’s FrontPage Magazine article, ‘Helping Hand to Hamas.’

Protest details:

When: Sunday, July 8, 2007, Noon – 2:00 pm (speeches will begin at 1:00)

Where: outside the Connecticut Convention Center, in Hartford, CT, at 100 Columbus Blvd.

There will be refreshments.

Why CAIR Dropped Its Lawsuit

This is a great victory, folks. Ibrahim Hooper, I hope you suffer endlessly of sleep deprivation due to your guilty conscience which keeps you awake at night, and I will posture that if you have a conscience, you are already suffering. Via FrontPageMagazine:
Andrew Whitehead, a former serviceman with the U.S. Navy has a website named Anti-CAIR on which Whitehead accused CAIR of partially funding terrorist organizations. CAIR routinely tries to intimidate the likes of Whitehead in the hope of stifling any criticisms and/or allegations made against it.

On March 31, 2004 CAIR filed a lawsuit against Andrew Whitehead in the Virginia Beach Circuit Court demanding $1 million in damages from Whitehead for what it called “libelous defamation.” The lawsuit, scheduled to begin in the summer of 2006 was dismissed in April 2006.
Click here to read why but I'll cut to the chase to save you some reading time:

Why did CAIR drop its lawsuit against Andrew Whitehead? Apparently, it feared exposure that would reveal its leaders connections to terrorist groups like Hamas. If that is the case, namely CAIR's fear of exposure, why has the media been silent on this matter? Rubinstein [of the Washington, DC-based law firm of Greenberg Taurig] explained, "CAIR is protected by the mainstream media," which he said, "has studiously ignored a decade of evidence, and has, instead, adopted a 'see no evil, speak no evil' stance."

Although CAIR is legal under the constitution, it is important to remember that the Communist party and the neo-Nazi parties in America were legal too. The activities of these organizations, including CAIR, however, is not necessarily sanctioned by the constitution, especially since CAIR represents a "profoundly anti-Semitic and anti-Christian ideology, and relies for its existence and activities on foreign Arab money." As Rubinstein has put it, "In another time (before the onset of a PC culture), activities such as those CAIR is involved in would have been labeled as subversive."

CAIR Supports Terror: A Case Study

From Power Line via CAIR Watch:

After his acquittal of certain terrorism charges and a hung verdict on others, Sami al-Arian pleaded guilty to one count of providing financial assistance to a terrorist organization -- Palestinian Islamic Jihad, of which al-Arian was the North American leader. Judge James Moody sentenced al-Arian to the maximum time on the charge and addressed a few choice words to al-Arian:

You looked your neighbors in the eyes and said you had nothing to do with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. This trial exposed that as a lie....The evidence was clear in this case that you were a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad...

When Iran, the major funding source of the PIJ, became upset because the PIJ could not account for how it was spending its money, it was to your board of directors that it went to demand changes. Iran wanted its representative to have a say in how its money was spent. To stop that, you leaped into action. You offered to rewrite the bylaws of the organization...

But when it came to blowing up women and children on buses, did you leap into action then? ... No. You lifted not one finger, made not one phone call. To the contrary, you laughed when you heard about the bombings, what you euphemistically call “operations.” ...

And yet, still in the face of your own words, you continue to lie to your friends and supporters, claiming to abhor violence and to seek only aid for widows and orphans. Your only connection to widows and orphans is that you create them, even among the Palestinians; and you create them, not by sending your children to blow themselves out of existence. No. You exhort others to send their children... You are indeed a master manipulator.
While incarcerated, al-Arian has been subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury regarding the "charities" that funded his "think tank" in Tampa, Florida. Al-Arian has refused to testify and has been held in contempt of court. Al-Arian has now gone on a hunger strike in protest.

During his trial Ahmed Bedier of the Council on American-Islamic Relations emerged as al-Arian's spokesman. See Pipes and Chadha's "CAIR: Islamists fooling the establishment." On its home page CAIR has posted an item on the Muslim Coalition's call for fasting in solidarity with al-Arian. The full item is here.

CAIR holds itself out as a civil rights group opposed to terrorism. Yet it operates as a front group that lends its support to the likes of a confessed terrorist such as al-Arian. And it supports Al-Arian in his refusal to testify to his knowledge of facts relevant to the discovery of terrorist infrastructure in the United States. Today's Frontpage has more in "Lying about al-Arian."

CAIR's continuing success in fooling the establishment is a remarkable story of CAIR's deceit, of the gullibility of bystanders and of the complicity of knowing outsiders such as Minnesota's own Rep. Keith Ellison.
