Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced on Wednesday that he would resign after his Kadima party chose a new leader in September elections. The leadership race has been set for Sept. 17, with a runoff, if necessary, on Sept. 24. The main contenders are Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz, a former defense minister.

Israeli Prime Minister Olmert Declares Intent to Resign in September
Perhaps now, courage, pride and morality will once again return to Israel. From Israeli Prime Minister Olmert Declares Intent to Resign in September:

Accountability of the Israeli Government
Following the confirmation that Hamas media praised the terror attack in Jerusalem, excerpted from Accountability Of The Israeli Government:
Yesterday afternoon, The Bulletin contacted the office of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert about the Israeli government's response to the Hamas:
The Bulletin forwarded a statement to the Israeli court from two weeks ago in which the government of Israel took a position that it will NOT garnish the assets of Hamas for a Hamas terror victim family and that the government of Israel states that it is the position of the government that the Hamas should NOT be dismantled.
In light of the fact that the Hamas praised the attack in Jerusalem, The Bulletin asked three questions of Mr. Olmert.
1. Why will the Israeli government not dismantle the Hamas?
2. Since Hamas in Gaza uses radio and TV frequencies that are owned by the state of Israel that were loaned to the Palestinians in 1994 for them to advance the cause of peace, why do you not cut off these frequencies or at least reclaim them for the state of Israel?
3. Why does the Israeli government not kill the leaders of Hamas who publicly praise and plan the murders of Jews, in the same way that the Israeli government killed Hamas leaders Mr. Yassin and Dr. Rantisi in 2004?
No answer was forthcoming from Mr. Olmert's communications office to these queries that followed the terror attack in downtown Jerusalem.

Israeli Law: Jerusalem's status as the united and sole capital of Israel may not be compromised
As you may already know, President Bush is arriving in Israel tonite in order to broker the disintegration of the legitimate and sovereign nation of Israel. How sad to watch my beloved Israel and my fellow Jews eat the crumbs that fall from the Bush, Rice, Olmert, and the Muslim Terror table. They seem to have forgotten that Jews were writing the books that shaped all nations while centuries later, Islamic hordes were still smearing themselves with feces, pillaging towns, and raping women.
Indeed, two Jerusalem organizations have sent a letter to Prime Minister Olmert, reminding him that discussions with US President Bush or PA Chairman Abbas regarding a possible division of Jerusalem are in violation of Israeli law.
An excerpt from INN:

An excerpt from INN:
A prominent lawyer for the Victims of Arab Terror (VAT) and Twenty-Four Shifts organizations penned the letter, warning Olmert that if he does not announce an end to all talks over the future of Jerusalem, he will be considered in violation of the law.Click here to read the facts and here for more on the rape of Israel.
In his letter, Attorney Baruch Ben-Yosef makes the point that Clauses 5 and 6 of one of Israel's cardinal laws - Basic Law: Jerusalem, Capital of Israel - mean that Jerusalem's status as the united and sole capital of Israel may not be compromised.
The first clause of the law in question, passed in 1980 under Prime Minister Menachem Begin and President Yitzchak Navon, states, "Jerusalem, whole and united, is the capital of Israel." Clause 5 stipulates the precise area of Jerusalem, while Clause 6 states, "No authorities relating to the area of Jerusalem and that is in the legal purview of the State of Israel or the Municipality of Jerusalem shall be transferred to any foreign political or governmental element, whether permanently or for a set period."
Clause 7 states that Clauses and 5 and 6 may not be changed except if another Basic Law is accepted by the majority of the Knesset.
If you wish to hold negotiations with a foreign element, and especially with an enemy of Israel such as Abu Mazen, then you must act in accordance with the law's Clause 7 - i.e., nullifying and/or changing [Clauses 5 and 6] via a majority vote in the Knesset."
"If by next Sunday, the 28th of Tevet 5768 (January 6), I do not receive this declaration by return email, my clients will act immediately to obtain a court order preventing you from waging such negotiations."

Poll: Most Israelis Want Olmert To Quit

Support for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has hit new depths with the results of a poll by a major surveying firm that shows 55 percent of the public wants him out of office. The poll was carried out by Brain Base (Ma'agar Mohot) and sponsored by the Israel Policy Center for Promoting Parliamentary Democracy and Jewish Values in Israeli Public Life. More than three-quarters of new immigrants responded that Prime Minister Olmert should be replaced, while most Kadima supporters want him to remain in office.
Previous polls have showed that he would fare poorly if new elections were held, but none of the surveys had asked respondents if he should leave office.
Almost two-thirds of the respondents also stated they oppose massive demolitions of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. Prime Minister Olmert Tuesday night told officials of the Council of Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria (Yesha) that the land in those areas is an "integral part" of Jewish history and identity, but he concluded that most of it should be surrendered.

Topple Olmert Now!
Today, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas have replaced the Arab states as claimants to the territories that Israel captured and that have been disputed since 1967. Who would suggest placing the Jewish holy sites of Jerusalem under Hamas, whose ideological Muslim cousins are attacking churches and mosques across the Middle East?
