Groups set to protest Saudi Arabia in Los Angeles

The last time I posted about this upcoming protest against Saudi Arabia , several Saudi website referrals popped up on my stat page. Let's see if the same rats come sniffing around for this update from UAC:

A coalition of organizations spearheaded by the United American Committee is set to protest against Saudi influence in America and against Saudi support of terror according to the groups. The protest will occur this Saturday August 2nd at 4:00 PM in front of the Consulate of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia located at 2045 Sawtelle Blvd. Los Angeles, CA.

With growing animosity and suspicion toward Saudi Arabia, several groups involved in what is being called the anti-jihad resistance are planning a protest with goals to bring awareness of Saudi Arabia's questionable usage of dollars earned by the latest spike in the cost of petroleum.

The primary source of outrage among protesters is what they call Saudi support of terror through the Kingdom's funding of radical mosques and Islamic schools known as madrassas throughout the world which follow the Saudi fundamentalist view of Islam known as Wahabism.

Groups such as the United American Committee state that when one traces the trail of virtually any Muslim terrorist in the world, it almost inevitably leads back to a Saudi funded mosque or school that the terrorist has been trained in.

“When we fill up every time at the pump they are turning our dollars against us in order to kill us.” remarks protester Jim Horn, Vice Chairman of the U.A.C., a non-profit organization with goals to educate Americans about the threat of radical Islam.

“They have learned our laws and our ways of life and are now using them against us, something which the terrorists have learned is far more effective than bullets or physical attacks,” Horn continued, also referring to the Saudi lobbyist efforts which influence American politicians, another item which is a primary target of this coming Saturday's protest.

In recent years through the growing use of internet weblogs and other alternative medium, Saudi interference in American school systems have greatly come to light, stirring a great deal of unrest among parents and educators.

In 2007 the UAC released 10,000 pamphlets to its members with various facts on Saudi influence in Western education.

These facts listed such items as Saudi Arabia's funding of mid-east study programs which teach Saudi style views on Islam in American Universities such as Georgetown which received $22 million, or the University of Arkansas which received $20 million.

Such programs are notably set up by Saudi Arabia in universities with almost no Muslim student body to speak of. Once the initial Saudi money runs out to fund these programs, they are then often subsidized by American tax dollars.

The UAC report also mentioned Saudi influence at elementary school levels including notebooks given to teachers such as the “Arab World Studies Notebook” in which children are led to believe that Jews control American foreign policy and that the Koran is superior to other religious texts.

The protester's aims are to awaken the nation and let American politicians know that the citizens of America are beginning to view Saudi Arabia to radical Islam in the world today as the Soviet Union was viewed to stand for Communism in the world during the Cold War.

All concerned Americans are urged to attend this important protest Saturday at 4:00 PM in front of the Saudi Consulate located at 2045 Sawtelle Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA.

Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week II

One hundred college campuses will hold "Stop the Genocide" demonstrations this week as part of Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week II. David Horowitz, Robert Spencer, Nonie Darwish, and thousands of fearless college students around the country will participate.

The centerpiece of this year’s campaign is the Declaration Against Genocide. The Declaration calls on “student governments and Muslim groups” to condemn Hezbollah and Hamas, and repudiate the saying of the prophet Mohammed that redemption will only come when Muslims fight Jews and kill them, when the rocks and trees cry out Oh Muslim there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him. The charter also affirms such radical notions as:

• The right of all people to live in freedom and dignity


• The freedom of the individual conscience: to change religions or have no religion at all


• The equal dignity of women and men


• The right of all people to live free from violence, intimidation, and coercion

Islamofacism Fraud at Wright State

Shari'a is toxic enough, but add fraud and deception to the mix and you got yourself a weapon of mass destruction. From FrontPageMagazine:

Mohammad “Moody” Kassem, a student government officer at Wright State University, devised a plan to use his student government position to help promote the extremist agenda of another organization he is also a leader of – the Muslim Student Association.

In late February, Moody Kassem posted an online poll on the Wright State student government website directed exclusively towards Muslims which asked:

If you are of Islamic faith would you utilize a permanent prayer room?

This in itself seems innocuous enough, but Kassem then began contacting Muslims all over the country – with no association or ties to Wright State University or its local community – to participate in this poll with the expressed intent to use the results of this poll to approach WSU Provost Steven Angle to pressure the university to establish a permanent private Islamic prayer room on the campus of this state university. The poll was featured prominently on the home page of the Wright State Student Government website.

With this e-mail going out well beyond WSU's service area, a seemingly insignificant poll on the student government website rapidly spun up hundreds of affirmative responses.

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) has been identified as one of the primary front groups in the United States for the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization (see the MSA dossier prepared by The Investigative Project on Terrorism). The MSA’s agenda of Islamic radicalization can be seen in the group’s publication, “MSA Starter’s Guide: A Guide on How to Run a Successful MSA”. That guide lays out a program to promote an “in-your-face” brand of Islam:

It should be the long-term goal of every MSA to Islamicize the politics of their respective university…the politicization of the MSA means to make the MSA
more of a force on internal campus politics. The MSA needs to be a more
‘In-your-face’ association…For example, the student body must be convinced that
there is such a thing as a Muslim-bloc….

Extremist “in-your-face” agendas are nothing new on college campuses, of course, but most student groups haven’t operating as fronts for international Islamic terrorist organizations, as has the MSA.

Islamo-Fascism Week

Beginning on October 22, student groups across the nation will hold Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week on their campuses. These protest weeks will feature a series of events designed to bring a message to these academic communities that challenges most of what students are taught about the so-called War on Terror both in the classroom and on the quad.

The Week’s events will include speeches about Islamo-Fascism by prominent figures, including former Senator Rick Santorum (Penn State, Temple and UPenn), Sean Hannity (Columbia), Ann Coulter (Tulane and USC), Dennis Prager (UC Santa Barbara), Robert Spencer (Brown, Dartmouth, University of Rhode Island, and DePaul), Daniel Pipes (Northeastern and UPenn), David Horowitz (Columbia, Emory, Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin), Michael Ledeen (Maryland), Nonie Darwish (UCLA and Berkeley), Wafa Sultan (Stanford) and radio talk show hosts Melanie Morgan (San Francisco State), Michael Medved (University of Washington), Martha Zoeller (Georgia Tech), Alan Nathan (George Mason), Mark Larson (to be named) and many others.A major theme of the Week will be the oppression of women in Islam. The photo accompanying this article, which shows a teenage girl buried before being stoned to death for alleged sexual offenses, will serve as the poster for the protest Week. The stoning took place in Iran.

The plight of Muslim women will be featured at “teach-in” panels and also at sit-ins in Women’s Studies Departments, designed to protest the absence of courses that focus on Islamic gynophobia. The silence of Women’s Studies departments in the face of this oppression is a national outrage. College students are offered the opportunity to study the “oppression” of women in Boston and Beverly Hills in hundreds of Women’s Studies courses across America. But there is not a single course we are aware of that addresses the real oppression of women in Teheran and Riyadh. In Saudi Arabia, to take one horrendous example, Saudi police recently shot to death schoolgirls who were fleeing a burning building without their veils. Better that they should be dead than seen. A pamphlet on the subject of women’s oppression in Islam, written by Robert Spencer and Phyllis Chesler will be distributed on campuses (and posted on Frontpage next week), along with a petition protesting the campus blackout of this issue.

Many campuses will show the uncut version of the ABC miniseries The Path to 9/11, which has been suppressed by ABC under pressure from the Clintons in order to help Hilary’s presidential run. This is the most spectacular episode of political censorship in recent memory. It is also relatively unreported, although the Los Angeles Times carried an informative story which you can read here. The Path to 9/11 was a film that cost $40 million to make and was seen by 28 million viewers, yet ABC has refused to release the DVD. Other films being shown during the Week are Obsession, Suicide Killers, Islam: What the West Needs to Know, Islam v. Islam and Chris Burgard’s Border.

The purpose of Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is as simple as it is critical: to confront the two Big Lies of the political left: that George Bush created the "war on terror" and that global warming is a greater danger to Americans than global jihad and Islamic supremacism.

Nothing could be more politically incorrect than to point out these unpleasant facts. But nothing could be more important for American students to hear. In the face of the greatest danger Americans have ever confronted, the academic left has mobilized to create sympathy for the enemy and to fight anyone who rallies Americans to defend themselves.

Already, CAIR and the Muslim Students Association -- which are fronts for the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas -- are planning to hold counter- demonstrations during the Week called “Peace Not Prejudice.” Since the Islamic radicals whom these organizations represent and defend are among the most prejudiced people on earth, and since their own sponsoring organizations, Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, have declared a global war against the West, this can only be regarded as high-order satire. The Muslim Students Association is welcome to sign our petition denouncing Islamo-Fascism and defending the dignity of all individuals, infidels included. It can be accessed here.

Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is a protest against the censorship that has come to America, and whose chief enforcer is the progressive left. Anyone who links Islamic radicalism to the terrorist campaigns that are being waged against America, Europe and Israel and against non-radical Muslims in places such as Darfur, is automatically labeled an “Islamophobe.” It is by this means that the enemy seeks to paralyze the defenses of its intended victims. The progressive left is the enabler and abettor of the terrorist jihad. It has forged an “unholy alliance” with the most retrograde and reactionary forces in the world today. The institutional base of the left is the university system, from whose classrooms it is conducting a behind-the-lines psychological warfare campaign against its own countrymen and the democratic, secular and tolerant society they have created. It is time for Americans to rally in their own defense and answer the corrosive lies and libels whose goal is to sap their will to fight. Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is the beginning of that answer and the first line of that defense.
