Rescue Gilad Shalit ALIVE!

Via Stop Raping Israel:

Rescue Gilad Shalit Alive! Many are still grieving the loss of Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser HY"D. Many are still angry at the release of Arab murderers from Israeli prisons. Those still in shock will undoubtedly feel their grief and anger in time.

I made this graphic expressing how I feel. I specifically wrote "rescue," something which can be done in any number of ways, and stayed away from the phrase "negotiate his release."

The word "alive" was also used quite purposefully.

I am not a professional artist (nor even a reasonable amateur). No doubt, there are countless others who could have done a better job than I. But I wanted to do something.

Please feel free to use this graphic on your website, e-mails, etc. I don't need the credit. I just want the message to get out. If you also want to do something, but have commitments to many other helpful causes which take up much of your time, then I hope that this graphic will help.

Also, don't forget, you have permission to copy the "Olmert Resign Button!" as well, which comes courtesy of Lemon Lime Moon.

IDF Air Strike Kills Shalit Kidnapper

Great news. HaShem has avenged the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit. Israel’s Air Force launched an air strike Thursday morning killing a Hamas terrorist involved in the kidnapping of IDF Cpl. Gilad Shalit.

The air strike, which was based on information from the Shabak (General Security Service) was carried out in Rafiah, along Gaza’s southern border with Sinai, as the terrorist, Nafez Mantzour, was driving with two other Hamas terrorists.

It's always great news to learn that yet another Muslim has to sleep with both eyes open.

Nasrallah: Hizbullah Has Bodies of Abducted IDF Troops

The worst news that could come out of the Palestinian Arab Muslim swamp. From Nasrallah: Hizbullah Has Bodies of Abducted IDF Troops:
Hizbullah has in its possession the bodies of abducted Israel Defense Forces soldiers and has attempted to use them as part of prisoner swap negotiations, the group's leader Hassan Nasrallah said Wednesday. IDF soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were abducted by Hizbullah militants in a cross-border raid into Israel that sparked the Second Lebanon War in 2006.

Daniel Pearl's widow drops lawsuit

The widow of murdered journalist Daniel Pearl has withdrawn a lawsuit seeking damages against al-Qaida, a dozen reputed terrorists and Pakistan's largest bank.

In a letter Tuesday to the federal judge presiding over the case, lawyers for Mariane Pearl noted that Habib Bank Limited and the other defendants in the case had not answered the lawsuit filed in July, but they otherwise did not explain their reason for dropping the action.

The lawsuit had sought unspecified damages against people and organizations that Mariane Pearl alleged were involved in the kidnapping, torture and murder of her husband in 2002.

Pearl, 38, The Wall Street Journal's South Asia bureau chief, was abducted from Karachi, Pakistan, while researching a story on Islamic militancy in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Pearl's execution and beheading were videotaped by his kidnappers and displayed on the Internet. His remains were found in a shallow grave on Karachi's outskirts.

Among the defendants in Mariane Pearl's lawsuit were al-Qaida; the al-Rashid Trust, an outlawed Islamic charity; and Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the imprisoned al-Qaida No. 3 leader and mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The suit alleged Habib Bank knowingly provided financial services for al-Qaida and other terrorist groups.

Several men charged in the kidnapping and murder case have been convicted in Pakistan, including British-born Islamic militant Ahmed Omar Saeed Shaikh.

He was sentenced to death in 2002, and three of his accomplices were given life prison terms. Their appeals are pending.

Mohammed, caught in Pakistan, is being held at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He claimed he personally beheaded Pearl, according to a partial Pentagon transcript of his testimony at a military tribunal.

Mariane Pearl was represented by Motley Rice, a law firm based in Mount Pleasant, S.C. The firm has brought other suits against Middle Eastern banks and companies on behalf of Sept. 11 victims.

International Day of Action

Come and stand in solidarity for Gilad Shalit (kidnapped 25 June 2006), Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev (kidnapped 12 July 2006).

6.30pm - 7.30pm outside Syrian Embassy, 8 Belgrave Square SW1, Westminster, London.

Also for Ron Arad, Zachary Baumel, Yehuda Katz, Zvi Feldman, Guy Hever who have been missing far longer. If their names are not as familiar to you, it is because the media and the international community have allowed them to virtually disappear into oblivion.

For their families, not knowing what happened to their loved ones is a daily nightmare.

Zachary, Zvi and Yehuda have been missing for 9761 days!

On October 16 2007 Ron Arad will have been missing for 21 years!

Guy disappeared without trace on 17 August 1997 on his way back to his unit in the Golan Heights.

Many governments were active in securing a happy ending for BBC reporter Alan Johnston after 114 days in captivity. But when it comes to the missing Israelis, the silence is deafening. But WE have not forgotten them.

A Year in Captivity

From A Year in Captivity:
The anniversary of the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers Ehud Goldwasser, Eldad Regev, and Gilad Shalit will be marked in New York City on Monday with a rally organized by the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations outside the UN at noon. On April 12, the Senate unanimously approved a resolution that condemns not only Hamas and Hizbullah but also "Iran and Syria for their ongoing support of Hizbullah and Hamas." It demands that the captives be immediately and unconditionally released and that "Hizbullah and Hamas accede to the most basic standards of humanitarian conduct and allow prompt access to the Israeli captives by competent medical personnel and representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross." The accused terrorists detained at Guantanamo Bay have been regularly visited by the Red Cross and are provided with lawyers and copies of the Koran. Somehow the concern about the conditions under which Goldwasser and Shalit and Regev are being held is less audible than the fuss about Guantanamo.

BBC's Gaza Correspondent Released After a Four-Month "Appalling Experience"

From BBC's Gaza Correspondent Released After a Four-Month "Appalling Experience":
BBC correspondent Alan Johnston, 45, was released Wednesday by his kidnappers in Gaza after nearly four months in captivity. He said it was "fantastic" to be free after an "appalling experience." Johnston was abducted on March 12 by the Army of Islam, a group dominated by Gaza's powerful Dugmush clan. "The last 16 weeks have been the very worst of my life," Johnston said. "I was in the hands of people who were dangerous and unpredictable." Johnston said he fell ill from the food he was served. He described his experience of captivity as "occasionally quite terrifying."

Palestinian Terrorists Planned to Blow Up Synagogue, Kidnap U.S. Citizens

From Palestinian Terrorists Planned to Blow Up Synagogue, Kidnap U.S. Citizens:
The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) uncovered a Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) cell that had planned a series of attacks, including bombing a Modi'in synagogue and kidnapping U.S. citizens in the West Bank, according to information made public Tuesday. PFLP member Ramzi Sharona, who had been illegally working as a laborer in Modi'in, said he intended to plant an explosive device in a nearby synagogue, blow it up, and then flee to Ramallah. In addition, the cell was planning to kidnap U.S. civilians in order to swap them for jailed PFLP leader Ahmed Sa'adat, shoot motorists on a Modi'in road, and attack Israel Defense Forces soldiers in Hebron.

Torture and Death of Jew Deepen Fears in France

Ilan Halimi, a young Jewish man, spent the last weeks of his life tormented and tortured by his captors and splashed with acid in a low-ceilinged pump room in Bagneux, France.

"I knew they had someone down there," said a young French-Arab man in the doorway of a building adjacent to the one where Mr. Halimi was held. "I didn't know they were torturing him."

But it is clear that plenty of people did know, both that Mr. Halimi was being tortured and that he was Jewish. The police think at least 20 people participated in his abduction and the subsequent negotiations for ransom.
