"My enemy, oh snake! Around the land, you are coiled. You have no choice, oh enemy, but to leave my country." -- [Palestinian TV, January 2008, broadcast daily] A hate video broadcast continuously on official (Fatah-controlled) Palestinian TV over the past several months calls Israel "my enemy" and spews out messages of hate and loathing. The song's refrain, My enemy, oh enemy," is repeated over and over throughout the song. Israel is not even given the courtesy of a name, but is tagged with such labels as "treacherous," "imperialism" and a "coiled snake."

The Palestinian is portrayed as a heroic victim who courageously confronts the evil "enemy" Israel:

"If you pull out my eyes, my heart will see.

If you cut off my hands, my chest is knives and swords."

The enemy, Israel, is denied the right to "This homeland is ours."

Therefore, the song concludes, the Palestinians will ultimately prevail, and Israelis will be expelled: "You have no choice, oh enemy but to leave my country."

The goal of this music video clip is to inculcate loathing of Israel and anticipation of its destruction. The repeated broadcast over recent months by Fatah-controlled television is consistent with other Arabic-language hate messages currently being disseminated -- in spite of the peace talks.

PA TV first aired this music video in 2004 and resumed its broadcast in October, 2007. It was broadcast throughout the Annapolis conference as well as during President Bush's visit to Israel. It continues to be aired on almost a daily basis.

As for palestinians having difficulty getting food, it's their own fault.

In a perfect world, the arabs in Gaza would have taken the handoff of territory from Israel and made something good from it. Wait, I take that back. In a perfect world, the Arabs would have, especially the educated among them, looked with the deepest sympathy on the Zionist movement...and wish the Jews a most hearty welcome home, which is what The Emir Fayzal said to Felix Frankfurter of the American Zionist delegation at the Paris Peace Conference in 1919.

Fact: There is NO occupation of Gaza anymore. Israel demolished those communities and pulled each and every Israeli citizen out and redeployed all their forces outside the recognized boundries of Gaza territory.

What there is now is an economic blockade. These happen in times of armed conflict and are NOT against international law. You've been believing the hype too long, but you, in Gaza, are no longer occupied.

Get that through your miserable, tormented, godless thick heads.

You should focus on your own internal cultural implosion; you should focus on your incessant war crimes against the Jewish people. You should focus on your crimes of launching missiles over an international border into a sovereign state.

You gutless cowards don't even have the courage to admit that you voted for your leaders. Your launching of rockets into Sderot on a daily basis is an act of war - and you filthy pigs are committing acts of war against the Jewish people on a daily basis. You've been trying to kill Jews for more than 100 years. There's a whole lot of badness that comes with that. More for Gaza than Israel. Think on that, you stupid useless phucks.

Do something about your situation. You're not exactly chained to your rocket launchers and suicide belts. You can protest what Hamas and Islamic Jihad have brought you and make them stop.

You can't honestly expect Israel to not protect Sderot and her citizens. The Israeli government is responsible for the safety of its people, not for the safety of yours.

You don't like your lot in life or your government, do something about it, and stopping asking for handouts.

You claim that the Arabian nation is a great, loving, peaceful nation. Well, start acting like it, instead of like savages.

Your prophet said, "A single endeavor (of fighting) in Allah's Cause in the forenoon or in the afternoon is better than the world and whatever is in it."

Like hell it is.

You should know. If fighting is so great, then stop your goddamned complaining about starving and enjoy your suffering the way your god wanted you to suffer, and leave the rest of the civilized world out of your own self-imposed misery.

Arabs pressure Bush to observe Nabka

It's a good rule of thumb to pay attention to the vocabulary of palestinianism so that Americans and Israelis won't continue to get swindled. Keep in mind that the "Nabka" was in fact, self-inflicted. From an arab news source via Daily Alert:

Arab states are demanding that the U.S. clarify the purpose of a planned return trip by President Bush to Israel in May to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of Israel, the UAE-based Al-Khalij newspaper reported Sunday. Arab states have communicated their disappointment to the Americans over the plan, which also marks the 60th anniversary of what Palestinians call the Nakba, the "catastrophe."

Who is Raeed Tayeh?

An American-born Palestinian activist, Raeed N. Tayeh was formerly an Executive Board member of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP) and a research fellow for the United Association for Studies and Research. He also has had connections to American Muslims for Jerusalem.

On June 21, 1999, Tayeh expressed his contempt for Israel on the Friends For Palestine (FFP) website, an extremist site run via the University of Memphis Web server, which posted diatribes against Jews and featured a map of Israel with the Palestinian flag superimposed on it. “Very nice Website,” wrote Tayeh. “I am very proud of the FFP, keep up the good work. It is our duty to return Palestine, ALL OF PALESTINE. I suggest that if any of you really want to get involved, to join the Islamic Association for Palestine -- IAP, they have chapters all over North America, and if you don’t have a chapter, I will help you start one. You should also read the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs. This is one of your best sources for fair news about the Middle East.” [Tayeh was the Chicago correspondent for this vehemently anti-Israel publication.]

On November 29, 1999, Tayeh wrote a story for Islam Online -- a website that has published religious/legal opinions in support of suicide bombings -- about the Third Annual IAP Convention. In that piece, Tayeh stated, “Islamists refuse to recognize the legitimacy of Israel or the peace agreement made with it, and vow to return the Holy Land to the Muslim nation.” He also praised Issa Nakhleh as “a distinguished Palestinian Christian historian.” Nakhleh had called Yasser Arafat “an honorable Palestinian leader”; had called Ariel Sharon “an irresponsible terrorist, murderer and war criminal”; and had excused suicide bombings as understandable responses to “Israeli crimes.”

In his poem titled “Who Am I?” -- which originally appeared on the IAP website -- Tayeh says, "Oh how I dream of that wonderful day, when our flags are raised, and when the marching bands will play. When the young will cheer, and when the old will cry. When the refugees return, and when Zionism will die."

In November 2000 Tayeh was the spokesman for a group protesting against the Chicago Sun Times for having published an editorial blaming Yasser Arafat for Middle East violence.

In February 2001 Tayeh was the contact -- along with the pro-terrorist Palestinian activist and writer Hatem Abudayyeh -- for a solidarity march organized by the Coalition for Justice in Palestine.

On April 7, 2001, while he was still with the IAP, Tayeh was a featured speaker at a rally in New York City that included Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leaders Sami Al-Arian and Mazen Al-Najjar. The rally also featured a statement by George Habash, founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Also in 2001, Tayeh was hired as Communications Director for Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. But on November 28 of that year, he was forced to resign from McKinney’s staff when it was learned that he had written a “letter to the editor” questioning the loyalty of Jewish members of Congress. He stated in that letter: “What is more disturbing to me is that many of these pro-Israeli lawmakers sit on the House International Relations Committee despite the obvious conflict of interest that their emotional attachments to Israel cause. . . . The Israeli occupation of all territories must end, including Congress.”

At IAP’s 5th Annual Convention in December 2001, Tayeh was again a featured speaker along with Sami Al-Arian.From February 2002 to September 2002, Tayeh was the Washington Director of American Muslims for Global Peace and Justice (AMGPJ). During this period, he issued a press release “condemning” the U.S. government for conducting raids on northern Virginia Islamic organizations that were being investigated for their role in terrorist financing.

Tayeh was also the promoter of a boycott against Starbucks Coffee -- a campaign initiated in response to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz’s “support for various Jewish charitable organizations and his warnings about rising anti-Semitism around the world.”

Tayeh authored a book titled A Muslim’s Guide to American Politics and Government. It was published by the Muslim American Society (MAS), and its foreword was written by MAS President Souheil Ghannouchi.

Since September 2002, Tayeh has worked as the Public Affairs Director for the MAS Freedom Foundation. On April 26, 2003, Tayeh gave an MAS-sponsored “activist training seminar” with the organization’s Communications Director, Randal Todd “Ismail” Royer, who would later be sentenced to prison on firearms and conspiracy charges in relation to a group associated with al Qaeda.

The MAS 2003 annual convention was co-sponsored by the Islamic Circle of North America. Tayeh was a featured speaker at this event, along with: Mustafa Abu Sway, who the Israeli government has labeled “a known activist” in the Hamas terrorist movement; Siraj Wahhaj, who was named as a possible co-conspirator to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center; Zulfiqar Ali Shah, CEO of the Universal Heritage Foundation; and the neo-Nazi William Baker.

In February 2004, MAS sent Tayeh to the Cleveland Mosque to assist Fawaz Damra, who had recently been arrested for concealing his links to anti-Israel terrorist groups. Damra in 1991 had said that “[Muslims should be] directing all rifles at the first and last enemy of the Islamic nation, and that is the sons of monkeys and pigs, the Jews.” Four years later, Damra was named as a possible co-conspirator to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

During an August 2004 appearance on CNN, Tayeh made the following remarks:

• “The United Nations needs to stop passing resolutions and start enforcing the ones that are on the books, namely returning to the 1967 borders and allowing Palestinian refugees the right to return to their homes.”
• “The Palestinians ... fighting the people who have occupied their land, who have stolen their land …”
  “Well, the United Nations, in 1947, came up with a plan to divide Palestinian [sic], giving the Jews the majority of the country and the Palestinians the minority. The Palestinians rejected it because they said, hey, we live here. This is 100 percent of our land.”
• “Jews can have their land, but the Palestinians didn't commit the Holocaust. That was Germany under the Nazis. Why not create a state in Germany?”
• “Jews live in Arab countries and in some countries they live very well, and they're protected.”

From Palestinian Legislative Council Passes Law Against Any Concessions on Jerusalem:

The Hamas-dominated Palestinian Legislative Council Thursday passed a law that makes any concessions on Jerusalem illegal and defines such concessions as a crime of high treason. Many Fatah legislators made it known that they too support the law, which states that Jerusalem is a Palestinian, Arab and Islamic city. The new law still requires the approval of Mahmoud Abbas, said Ahmed Bahar, acting speaker of the PLC. The law is intended to embarrass Abbas and ties his hands on the eve of the resumption of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations on core issues, including the future status of Jerusalem. Hamas officials said Abbas would have no other option but to endorse the law.

Palestinian Arab Math

Lee Kaplan has a biting and formidable article that cuts straight through to the fiction that is the fabric of the entity calling itself Palestine. It's such a good article that I wish I had written it. A must read. Excerpted from Israel National News:

Since 1993, the world has been the victim of the biggest welfare scam in history.

I'm referring specifically to the Arab League's and Gamal Nasser's creation of of a "Palestinian" Arab nationality to justify the unremitting attacks on the Jewish state of Israel. Billions of dollars in aid money have been given to the "Palestinians”; yet, they are still dispossessed and poor, or so they say, and victims of the "greatest genocide" in history by the Jews of Israel. You hear this constantly in America on college campuses, More welfare money is always needed by the leadership that spends it on themselves.and now even in mainstream media, particularly by those lovely folks in the International Solidarity Movement, a gang the Israeli government somehow can't stop within its own borders.

Most Israelis know about the "festering wound" of Arabs who were displaced by the War of Independence in 1948. Many were put into refugee camps after the war by other Arabs to sit until the Jews would be driven into the sea at a later date. Others among the Arabs made lives for themselves, but still claimed they were "refugees," and, by 1964, the official front of the PLO was organized under the Egyptian Yasser Arafat.

Arafat was a whiz at Palestinian math. He got all the Arab League to give separate passports to "Palestinians" and to not let them assimilate. For good measure, he got them to make every "Palestinian" tithe to Arafat's PLO. After all, when Palestinian mathematics makes numbers appear and disappear at random, more welfare money is always needed by the leadership that spends it on themselves.

Is This the End of Palestine?

I hope that "palestine", a manufactured entity which was illegitimately conceived in the first place, which was stolen out from under the feet of indigenous Jews, which had no importance for any Muslim Arab prior to 1967, will finally be relegated to the back alley of Islamic ignorance, blood libel, and Jewicide where the placental remains of its aborted afterbirth will rot in a mouldering plastic baggie. So what is Palestine? It is an improvisation from a series of rude facts. Palestine was never anything of especial importance to the Arabs or to the larger orbit of Muslims. Palestine was never even an integral territory of the Ottomans but split up in sanjaks that crossed later post-World War I borders, a geographical and political jumble.

When the 1947 UN Partition Plan for Palestine was passed, envisioning a "Jewish" state and an "Arab" (not, mind you, Palestinian) state, even the idea of a separate Arab realm was met at best with a yawn. Though almost no Arab wanted Jewish sovereignty in any of Palestine, virtually no Arab seemed to crave Arab sovereignty, either. Foreign Arab armies did the fighting against the Haganah, and foreign states sat for the Palestinians at the cease-fire negotiations.

Indeed, from 1949 through 1967, what was the West Bank of Arab Palestine was annexed - yes, annexed - by Jordan, and what was the Gaza Strip was a captive territory of Egypt, unannexed so that Gazans had no rights as Egyptians (whereas the West Bankers had rights as Jordanians). The Palestine Liberation Organization, founded in 1964, was not founded to liberate these territories. It was founded to liberate that part of Palestine held by Israel.

The final fall of Gaza to Hamas puts the whole question of Palestine and the Palestinians into a new perspective. There are now three cohorts of Palestinians between the Jordan and the Mediterranean. (Four, if you count the Palestinian majority under Hashemite rule.)

The most serious near-term danger actually comes from the West Bank. Rockets and more precise weapons aimed at the thickly populated heart and narrow waist of Israel from almost any place in what is now Fatah land would revive both the anxieties and military reflexes of Israel. That is why U.S. policy must not assume that there are facile ways to render the West Bank peaceful. What keeps that area more orderly than Gaza is the presence of Israeli troops.

The Koran relates that Muhammad in a single night was transported to heaven by Burak, a horse with wings, a woman's face, and a peacock's tail. He was first taken to what the Koran called the "uttermost mosque" - il masjad al aksa. Jerusalem is not mentioned in the story, and there was no mosque in Jerusalem at the time. After Muhammad's death, the tradition - which did not pass unchallenged by an opposing school of thought - laid it down that the "uttermost mosque" meant the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. On this legend rests the Muslim claim to the Jewish Temple Mount as a Muslim holy place.

The Muslims were not overly impressed with Jerusalem's importance when they ruled in Palestine. While, in turn, Damascus, Baghdad, and Cairo glittered with the luster of an imperial capital, Jerusalem stagnated as a remote provincial townlet. To the Muslims, Jerusalem, though the site of a Holy Place, was a backwater. Even during the Jordanian control of Jerusalem (1948-1967), not a single globe-trotting Saudi prince ever set foot in the city. The Arabs' slight and superficial relationship to the city has only recently been expanded into a claim of an uncompromising, even exclusive, ownership.
