CAIR Official Holds Fundraiser For Keith Ellison at His Detroit Home

Via Shariah Finance Watch:

When the first Muslim congressman in U.S. history, Keith Ellison (Hakim-Mohammed) of Minnesota, won the 2006 election and was making the regular thank-you-to-my-supporters speech, he allowed his fans to shout, ‘Allahu Akbar!’, the same phrase allegedly used by the 9/11 suicide pilots. He used the Quran to be sworn into office. (Islamophobia Watch)

Dr. Jukaku Tayeb from Detroit, the local CAIR president, is holding a fundraiser for former Nation of Islam member and Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) tonight at his home in Detroit.

Freep.com reported:

U.S. House Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota), a Detroit native and the first Muslim elected to Congress, is visiting metro Detroit this weekend to raise money from local Muslims.

Rep. Ellison will be speaking at a private fund-raiser for him in Shelby Township on Saturday at the home of Dr. Jukaku Tayeb, president of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Tayeb said.

Born and raised as a Catholic in Detroit, Ellison converted to Islam while a student at Wayne State University. He moved to Minnesota for law school and was elected to Congress in 2006 in a victory that garnered international attention because of his faith.

Since then, another Muslim – U.S. Rep. Andre Carson (D-Indiana) – was elected to Congress after he won a special election in March.

Keith Ellison ends Israel trip unscathed

Finally. A Muslim who is also a Democrat has for once kept his mouth shut. From Israel Today:
America's first Muslim congressman, Keith Ellison (D-Mn.) wrapped up a six-day visit to Israel on Sunday, having successfully managed to stay out of the limelight and avoid controversy.

Ellison was part of a larger Democratic congressional delegation that was in the region to meet with Israeli and Palestinian leaders.

The Israeli and US press were poised to report on any slip by Ellison that might be construed as anti-Israel sentiment. But the freshman representative made a point of staying in the background, and saying nothing to the press of any interest whatsoever.

In an exclusive interview granted to The Jerusalem Post, Ellison responded to questions regarding the Israeli-Arab conflict by saying, “I don't know, I'm just learning.”

Keith Ellison - Muslim Congressman - and "Atheists for Human Rights" imply Bush was behind 9/11

From Keith Ellison and the "Reichstag":
Upon assuming office, United States Congressmen swear to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) is on the job, zeroing in on a large-scale plan to subvert the Constitution, led by none other than George W. Bush. Speaking last week in Minnesota to a meeting of a group called Atheists for Human Rights, Ellison said of the September 11 attacks:
“It’s almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that. After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it, and it put the leader [Hitler] of that country in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted.”
The Nazi regime staged the fire at the Reichstag, the German Parliament building, on February 27, 1933, and blamed it on German and foreign Communist agents. The German Communist party was swiftly outlawed, thousands of Communists were arrested, and Hitler and his henchmen were able to bully the other parties in the German Parliament to grant him dictatorial powers, allowing him to legislate without approval from the assembly. But in making this comparison Ellison emphasized that he wasn’t saying that the Bush Administration staged the 9/11 attacks, because, “you know, that’s how they put you in the nut-ball box -- dismiss you.”

Ellison didn’t entirely avoid the “nut-ball box,” however. He went on to assert that Vice President Cheney’s behavior when he refused to answer questions put to him by Congress was “the very definition of totalitarianism, authoritarianism and dictatorship.” Such a “definition” may come as a surprise to those who may think that concentration camps, rule by fiat, and violent suppression of dissent are more reliable hallmarks of totalitarianism, authoritarianism and dictatorship than declining to respond to inquiries. And Ellison’s overall point was no more successful at avoiding “nut-ball” territory. To suggest that since 9/11 Bush has been “in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted” ignores not only the Democrat-controlled Congress and the mainstream media’s unstinting hostility to the President, but the fact that Ellison himself was speaking freely, without fear of retribution – while if someone like him had said similar things in National Socialist Germany, he would have faced arrest and torture.

CAIR Supports Terror: A Case Study

From Power Line via CAIR Watch:

After his acquittal of certain terrorism charges and a hung verdict on others, Sami al-Arian pleaded guilty to one count of providing financial assistance to a terrorist organization -- Palestinian Islamic Jihad, of which al-Arian was the North American leader. Judge James Moody sentenced al-Arian to the maximum time on the charge and addressed a few choice words to al-Arian:

You looked your neighbors in the eyes and said you had nothing to do with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. This trial exposed that as a lie....The evidence was clear in this case that you were a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad...

When Iran, the major funding source of the PIJ, became upset because the PIJ could not account for how it was spending its money, it was to your board of directors that it went to demand changes. Iran wanted its representative to have a say in how its money was spent. To stop that, you leaped into action. You offered to rewrite the bylaws of the organization...

But when it came to blowing up women and children on buses, did you leap into action then? ... No. You lifted not one finger, made not one phone call. To the contrary, you laughed when you heard about the bombings, what you euphemistically call “operations.” ...

And yet, still in the face of your own words, you continue to lie to your friends and supporters, claiming to abhor violence and to seek only aid for widows and orphans. Your only connection to widows and orphans is that you create them, even among the Palestinians; and you create them, not by sending your children to blow themselves out of existence. No. You exhort others to send their children... You are indeed a master manipulator.
While incarcerated, al-Arian has been subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury regarding the "charities" that funded his "think tank" in Tampa, Florida. Al-Arian has refused to testify and has been held in contempt of court. Al-Arian has now gone on a hunger strike in protest.

During his trial Ahmed Bedier of the Council on American-Islamic Relations emerged as al-Arian's spokesman. See Pipes and Chadha's "CAIR: Islamists fooling the establishment." On its home page CAIR has posted an item on the Muslim Coalition's call for fasting in solidarity with al-Arian. The full item is here.

CAIR holds itself out as a civil rights group opposed to terrorism. Yet it operates as a front group that lends its support to the likes of a confessed terrorist such as al-Arian. And it supports Al-Arian in his refusal to testify to his knowledge of facts relevant to the discovery of terrorist infrastructure in the United States. Today's Frontpage has more in "Lying about al-Arian."

CAIR's continuing success in fooling the establishment is a remarkable story of CAIR's deceit, of the gullibility of bystanders and of the complicity of knowing outsiders such as Minnesota's own Rep. Keith Ellison.

The Anti-Profiling Agenda

An excerpt from Robert Spencer's The Anti-Profiling Agenda, via FrontPage:

Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) has been named to the House Judiciary Committee. Ellison said in a statement: “I look forward to pursuing a progressive agenda in the committee, including the restoration of American citizen’s civil liberties that have come under increasing attack over the past six years.”

The American citizens Ellison, the nation’s first Muslim congressman, has in mind are likely Muslims who charge that they have been subjected to unjust scrutiny and inconvenience in the aftermath of 9/11. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) shares this view: she has announced her intention to “correct the Patriot Act,” and wants to criminalize scrutiny of Muslims at airports and elsewhere:
“Since September 11, many Muslim Americans have been subjected to searches at airports and other locations based upon their religion and national origin. We must make it illegal.”
Helping make it illegal with Ellison on the House Judiciary Committee will be John Conyers (D-MI), the new chairman of that committee. “The policies of the Bush administration,” he has declared, “have sent a wave of fear through our immigrant communities and targeted our Arab and Muslim neighbors.”

Pelosi, Conyers, and Ellison by all appearances seem less concerned about any wave of fear that may be sent through American non-Muslims by continued jihad terror activity on American soil. But just this week there have been numerous indications that that jihad activity is continuing:

[1] Talib Abu Salam ibn Shareef (Derrick Shareef), a convert to Islam, pled not guilty Tuesday to plotting a terrorist attack against a shopping mall in Rockford, Illinois. As they were discussing his plans before his arrest, Shareef told an undercover agent: “Any place that’s crowded, like a mall is good, anything, any government facility is good. I swear by Allah man, I’m down for it too, I’m down for the cause, I’m down to live for the cause and die for the cause, man.” What cause? In a videotaped statement discovered after his arrest, Shareef tied his plans explicitly to his Islamic faith:

“I am from America, and this tape is to let you guys know, who disbelieve in Allah, to let the enemies of Islam know, and to let the Muslims alike know that the time for jihad is now...be strong, oh Mujahideen...May Allah protect me on this mission we conduct...so do not cry, do not mourn for me.”
[2] Mohammed Yousuf Mullawala, a Muslim citizen of India, is the subject of a continuing investigation in Rhode Island after enrolling in a truck driving school, inquiring about getting a permit to carry hazardous materials, and telling instructors that he did not need to learn how to back up. Also, Rhode Island State Police Major Steven O’Donnell revealed that “we’ve tied some of his cell-phone records to people of interest nationally” – that is, people who are suspected of terrorist activity. “They’re not your typical person’s cell-phone history … the volume of contacts obviously raises the level of suspicion.” Referring to Mullawala’s own possible connection to jihad terror activity, O’Donnell said: “We don’t know whether he’s a major player, a minor player, or any type of player. But the indicators lead us to believe that his behavior is not normal.”

[3] Imam Fawaz Damra, the former leader of the largest mosque in Cleveland, was deported to the West Bank last Thursday. When he arrived, Israeli authorities promptly arrested him for his ties to the terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad. His failure to disclose those ties got him deported in the first place. He was also captured on videotape telling an Islamic audience that “the first principle is that terrorism, and terrorism alone, is the path to liberation…. If what they mean by jihad is terrorism, then we are terrorists” – despite having been a signer of the Fiqh Council of North America’s much lionized condemnation of terrorism.

[4] On Monday, a Pakistani Muslim, Shahawar Matin Siraj, was sentenced to thirty years in prison for his plan to blow up a Manhattan subway station.

[5] Last Friday in Palm Springs, a man named Haider Mohammad, who claimed to be an Al-Qaeda operative, was arrested in a bar after threatening to “kill all Jews.”

And that’s just in the last couple of weeks.

Keith Ellison named to Judiciary Committee

From Associated Press:

Muslim Rep. Keith Ellison has been named to the House Judiciary Committee, a panel that has oversight over issues such as civil liberties, immigration and courts....

"I look forward to pursuing a progressive agenda in the committee, including the restoration of American citizen's civil liberties that have come under increasing attack over the past six years," said Ellison, the first Muslim member of Congress.

Ellison, a freshman lawmaker, said this week he'd like to see a ban on racial profiling, an issue that could come up in the Judiciary Committee.

Looks like not many folks are taking Sheik Ellison as a threat. However, I am. Lefties, like "Teresa", who I was debating with over in the comment section at Boker Tov, Boulder, avoid the real questions about Islam, because then it would mean confronting the nature of Islam itself. Islam is more than pretty fabrics and mosaic tiles. Islam is opposed to individual liberties. It is opposed to freedom of speech. It is opposed to equality for women. It is opposed to the equal treatment of Muslims and non-Muslims. The tenets of Islam, as expressed in the Koran that Ellison swore on, contradict the institutions of this country. Like Hugh Fitzgerald says, non-Muslims are not brought up to undo the legal, political and traditional institutions of the United States. Who cares that it was Jefferson's Koran that Ellison swore on? Everyone else in the days of Thomas Jefferson, including John Quincy Adams, John Ledyard, William Eaton and Mordechai Noah had opinions based on personal interactions with the Barbary pirates. You will not find any offering about Islam from any one of them similar in any way to what lefties tell us Islam is. Islam is fascism. Islam at its core is lethally militaristic and institutionalizes homicide. There is an Islamic crusade going on but Lefties refuse to see it. Lefties represent the people who are undermining my country, who are playing politics while the enemy commits war. Lefties want the US to lose this war. It's all about George Bush according to the Lefties. We know that George Bush will be leaving office in two years, but the enemy won't be leaving. The Islamonazis who kidnapped the people of Iran, the people of Syria, of Africa, of Darfur, of Europe, of Southeast Asia, of the Pacific, are not going anywhere - unless we push them over the cliff. The Lefties are part of a group who is obsessed with Bush and they hope that he loses the war in Iraq and they will stop at nothing as long as we lose the war. They won't care about anything, as long as Bush loses. But I care, because Lefties, who pose as academics, are really academic frauds. They are embracing the Islamonazi doctrine and I find that detestable. Lefties ultimately represent the weakest side of America in a world full of enemies that only respect strength. But I ask Lefties and Democrats, why, when Ahmadinjehad speaks, why don't you believe him? When Nasrallah speaks, why don't you believe him? When bin Laden speaks, why don't you believe him? This is post-911, there is no excuse for Lefties not to believe them. We did exactly what Lefties wanted us to do during the Clinton administration pre-911. We bombed former Yugoslavia, we ignored the attacks on American civilians and we paid a price fore it. Yet, Lefties are calling for us to behave now just like we did pre-911. It's utter stupidity. So what if a couple of more buildings go down. So what if a couple of more airliners go down. The deaths of innocents caused by Muslim terror are permanent and irreversible, whereas the hardships faced by some Muslims in this country are temporary, reversible and will cease when attempts to kill Jews and Americans here and overseas are themselves brought to a halt. I'm personally tired of having to endure the trumped-up concoction of superstitions and deceit which is Islam, merely because the world was cursed by having its main energy source located under the feet of savages.

Wake up, America!

Ellison uses Koran to take oath

Well, Ellison conquered America, folks. Keith Ellison made history Thursday, becoming the first Muslim member of Congress and taking a ceremonial oath with a Koran once owned by Thomas Jefferson. Ellison took the ceremonial oath with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., at his side.

Ellison, the first black member of Congress from Minnesota, was born in Detroit and converted to Islam in college. He said earlier this week that he chose to use this Koran because it showed that Islam is in no need of any projects to help demonize it. Its founder, its own historic records, and its present followers have done more than a good job on that one a visionary like Jefferson believed that wisdom could be gleaned from many sources.

Ellison's act undermines America's congressional and historical traditions. What Ellison said when he took his congressional oath by swearing on the Koran is that it is of no consequence what America holds as its holiest book and that all that matters is what any individual holds to be his holiest book.

But, as Dennis Praeger argues, America should not give a hoot what Keith Ellison's favorite book is. Insofar as a member of Congress taking an oath to serve America and uphold its values is concerned, America is interested in only one book, the Bible.

If you are incapable of taking an oath on that book, don't serve in Congress. America, not Ellison, decides on what book its public servants take their oath. For all of American history, Jews elected to public office have taken their oath on the Bible, even though they do not believe in the New Testament, and the many secular elected officials have not believed in the Old Testament either. Nor has one Mormon official demanded to put his hand on the Book of Mormon. When all elected officials take their oaths of office with their hands on the very same book, they all affirm that some unifying value system underlies American civilization. If Keith Ellison is allowed to change that, he will be doing more damage to the unity of America - and it is precisely the division of America that is the goal of America's enemies so that the US can be divided and conquered.

With this precedent, we can look forward to the next congressman taking an oath on Harry Potter or Readers Digest or Mein Kampf. When will it end? Moreso, why did Ellison start it?

The permissions to be dishonest in the Koran are not mitigated by Islamic belief, tradition, and theology, but are in fact reinforced -- by Mohammad's statements that 'war is deceit' and that lying is permissible in wartime, and more.

To swear on the Bible is to affirm, among other things, that one is part of a tradition, and to swear on the Koran does not amount to an affirmation of the same tradition, no matter how much anyone wishes it does or assumes it does.

Keith Ellison, Muslim Congressman, will swear on Koran

Via Jihad Watch:
In the Washington Post, Amy Argetsinger and Roxanne Roberts report breathlessly that Keith Ellison will be using Thomas Jefferson's own copy of the Qur'an for his swearing-in photo op.

This is allegedly a political masterstroke by Ellison, but it really just begs the question. Thomas Jefferson, obviously, was not a Muslim. In his famous statement on religious freedom he wrote about whether one's neighbor believed in one god or twelve 'neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.' But what no one is willing to discuss here is whether the Qur'an and Islam really fit into that framework. When I have mentioned that it sanctions lying to unbelievers (3:28 and 16:106, in the mainstream understanding of those verses by Islamic theologians and schools of jurisprudence; cf. Ibn Kathir and many others), people have responded that the Bible is full of nasty stuff as well. But people aren't swearing on the Bible because it is full of nasty stuff, or endorsing any of it that might actually be there. The idea of swearing on the Bible arises from Christian belief and is buttressed by Christian theology -- Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant -- that requires honesty and eschews all dishonesty as coming from the 'Father of Lies.' The permissions to be dishonest in the Qur'an are not mitigated by Islamic belief, tradition, and theology, but are in fact reinforced -- by Muhammad's statements that 'war is deceit' and that lying is permissible in wartime, and more.

In short, to swear on the Bible is to affirm, among other things, that one is part of a tradition, and to swear on the Qur'an does not amount to an affirmation of the same tradition, no matter how much Glenn Beck or Ed Koch or anyone wishes it does or assumes it does. Islamic teachers daily use the Qur'an to establish principles that differ radically from those of Judeo-Christian tradition. These questions need to be discussed in a forthright and honest manner by Ellison and by the mainstream media, instead of being swept under the rug or condemned as bigotry.

Rep.-elect Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, found himself under attack last month when he announced he'd take his oath of office on the Koran -- especially from Virginia Rep. Virgil Goode, who called it a threat to American values.

Yet the holy book at tomorrow's ceremony has an unassailably all-American provenance. We've learned that the new congressman -- in a savvy bit of political symbolism -- will hold the personal copy once owned by Thomas Jefferson.

"He wanted to use a Koran that was special," said Mark Dimunation, chief of the rare book and special collections division at the Library of Congress, who was contacted by the Minnesota Dem early in December. Dimunation, who grew up in Ellison's 5th District, was happy to help.
Jefferson's copy is an English translation by George Sale published in the 1750s; it survived the 1851 fire that destroyed most of Jefferson's collection and has his customary initialing on the pages. This isn't the first historic book used for swearing-in ceremonies -- the Library has allowed VIPs to use rare Bibles for inaugurations and other special occasions.

Ellison will take the official oath of office along with the other incoming members in the House chamber, then use the Koran in his individual, ceremonial oath with new Speaker Nancy Pelosi. "Keith is paying respect not only to the founding fathers' belief in religious freedom but the Constitution itself," said Ellison spokesman Rick Jauert.

1st Muslim congressman thrills crowd in Dearborn

1st Muslim congressman thrills crowd in Dearborn

Speaking in Dearborn, Michigan, late Sunday night, the first Muslim elected to Congress told a cheering crowd of Muslims they should remain steadfast in their faith and push for justice.

"You can't back down. You can't chicken out. You can't be afraid. You got to have faith in Allah, and you've got to stand up and be a real Muslim," Detroit native Keith Ellison said to loud applause.

Many in the crowd replied "Allahu akbar" -- God is great.

Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat elected to the U.S. House in November, has been the center of a national debate in recent weeks over Islam and its role in politics. Ellison has said he would take his oath of office on the Quran, the Muslim holy book, igniting a storm of criticism from some commentators.

U.S. Rep. Virgil Goode, a Republican from Virginia, said in a letter to constituents this month that the election of Ellison and other Muslims poses a danger to the country.

But Ellison, speaking at the annual convention of the Muslim American Society and the Islamic Circle of North America, said that Muslims can help teach America about justice and equal protection.

"Muslims, you're up to bat right now," he said. "How do you know that you were not brought right here to this place to learn how to make this world better?"

The convention, which ended Monday, drew more than 3,000 Muslims from across the country for the event aimed at revival and reform.

Ellison, who converted to Islam during college, made his remarks at the Hyatt Regency, the site of the five-day convention.

Ellison said he'd use the Quran during his swearing-in ceremony next week.

"On Jan. 4, I will go swear an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States. I'll place my hand on the Quran," Ellison said while placing his hand on the lectern, to loud applause.

So Ellison has finally admitted that he will place his hand on the Koran, the same book that says it's ok to kill Jews, and lie to others. Great.

The ADL's New Low

Just when you thought the Anti-Defamation League couldn't conceivably get any worse, comes the news that the ADL has effectively joined the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) to bash Dennis Prager, a popular Jewish author, speaker and talk show host. In a November 29th column, posted at Townhall.com, Prager criticized Keith Ellison, D-Minn., the first Muslim elected to Congress, for declaring he'll bring the Koran with him to his swearing-in ceremony. Folks, get out your stationery and send the ADL your letter of protest. CAIR sticks its dirty nose in everyone's business

Get a load of this crapstorm. CAIR is demanding that Dennis Prager who criticized Rep.-elect Keith Ellison's decision to use the Koran during his ceremonial swearing-in, be removed from the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. Sheesh, what hypocrisy. Muslims deny the Holocaust ever existed and now they're all apissy about who sits on the US Holocaust Memorial Council. I say that Muslims should keep their noses out of everyone's business.

It's time to destroy CAIR, folks. Bring it down to its knees. It is a front for terrorists, after all.

Read Dennis Prager's excellent column here.

The Democrat's deceptive non-platform

How odd. The Demo-rats didn't complain about voter fraud or stolen elections at all yesterday. Did anyone else notice that? Of course you all did. See, the Demo-rats are like the palestinians in their modus operandi. When the palestinians attack Israelis with Katushya rockets and suicide bombers, Israel punches back, which causes the palestinians to complain to the UN and other NGOs. When the Demo-rats lose elections because the rest of the country is sick of their effete arrogance, their hatred of Bush and their love for the Muslim enemy, the Dems complain about rigged voting machines. Now that the Demo-rats won the majority in yesterday's election, by running as non-Republicans, there's not a peep from a one of them. But all of America lost yesterday. PowerLineBlog noticed that the Demo-rats made a deliberate decision not to take a position on the biggest issue of the day, the Iraq war, and they downplayed their intention to raise taxes and take other unpopular measures. Wait and see, folks - the Demo-rats have pulled the wool over your eyes. By not mentioning Iraq because they ran on a non-Republican platform, don't be surprised when you'll see more government promotion of abortion, gay-marriage, activist judges, more support of euthanasia, promotion of illegal immigration, higher taxes and more attacks by the Muslim enemy on our home turf. Because running on a non-Republican platform is like Arafat and other Arab leaders who say in English they want to be "partners in peace" but in Arabic say "Kill the Jews". It's thievery, pure and simple, and it's called robbing the blind which is exactly what the Demo-rats did to all of you yesterday. They blind-sided you because you fell for their deceptive platform which never mentioned how they were going to solve Social Security, Medicare, and Islamic imperialism, and you didn't ask. Just like no one asked Keith Ellison why he took money from CAIR. I have no doubt that the Demo-rats will show show their liberal side to all of you soon enough. Remember Terri Schiavo? It was the Demo-rats and Lefty activist judges who wanted to pull her feeding tube. And that's exactly what the Democrat leftist judges did. But don't blame me, I voted Republican.

Democrats prove once again what a brainless community they are

Folks, the election is hardly 24 hours old and already the Democrats have made a huge mistake, one of many that I predict they will make over the next 4 years. And trust me - each and every time they phuck up, and you know the Democrats will, the rest of us will be all over them like white on rice.

It's payback time.

Meanwhile, here's what Zuniga and Soros and Clinton and Michael Moore and TownCrier's Demo-bots have done in Minnesota. They have elected Keith Ellison, a Muslim, to congress.

"Oh, Smoooth, you can't be so predjudiced like that."

Oh, I can't? Try me.

Here's some facts about the black Muslim, Keith Ellison.

Keith Ellison is a 43-year-old lawyer. Ellison converted to Islam as a 19-year-old college student in his native Detroit, and won with the help of Muslims among a coalition of liberal, anti-war voters.

He advocates an immediate U.S. withdrawal from Iraq along with strongly liberal views. While Ellison did not often speak of his faith during the campaign, awareness of his candidacy drew interest from Muslims well beyond the district centered in Minneapolis.

Opponents focused on Ellison's sloppy handling of his taxes and a slew of unpaid parking tickets, along with his one-time affiliation with the Nation of Islam, whose leader, Louis Farrakhan, has been criticized for making anti-Semitic remarks (and for being possibly behind the murder of Malcolm X). Ellison back-peddled and subsequently said he worked with the group largely to promote the 1995 Million Man March.

But let's get more current. In October of this year, Joe Kaufman wrote an article on FrontPage about Keith Ellison. Here's what the article was about:

Joe received an e-mail about a lecture that was taking place on October 14th at the Southwest Focal Point Senior Center, located in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The event was being sponsored by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and the Keynote Speaker was listed as Keith Ellison, a candidate for United States Congress from Minnesota and a man that has raised thousands of dollars through CAIR. Joe Kaufman and his group, Americans Against Hate, planned to be there and welcome him in protest. All was fine, until he attempted to sit in on the event.

Before that event, Joe wanted to prepare himself concerning the lecture, so he tried to corroborate the information to make sure that it was correct. He searched the Internet and found nothing. He went onto CAIR’s and CAIR-Florida’s websites – nothing. He went onto Keith Ellison’s campaign website – nothing. Details about this event were nowhere to be seen. It wasn’t until he spoke with someone from the Pembroke Pines Police Department that he found out the information was indeed accurate.

Questions popped up in his head: Why is this event being made a secret? Why is a Congressional Candidate from Minnesota campaigning in South Florida? And right before the election?

What Joe Kaufman and his group Americans Against Hate were protesting was the fact that Keith Ellison had accepted campaign donations from CAIR officials.

Ellison had taken money from CAIR’s National Executive Director Nihad Awad, CAIR’s National Chairman Parvez Ahmed, and CAIR’s Government Affairs Director Corey Saylor.

Given CAIR’s ties to the terrorist organization Hamas, given the fact that four CAIR representatives have previously been charged by the U.S. government with terrorist activity, and given the fact that CAIR is being sued for its role in the attacks on 9/11, Joe believed his case was strong.

Joe and other members of Americans Against Hate arrived to protest and a CAIR op came outside to videotape them. Joe's group did the same to him. They told the CAIR op it was worse for him – CAIR already knew what Joe looked like. Joe's folks asked him questions, but like a good CAIR soldier, he didn’t say a word. When it was time for Joe's speeches, which were made at a podium they had brought, the op moved closer to video them. Joe's speech contained some hard-hitting evidence of CAIR’s terrorist ties. The op just stood there expressionless.

When Joe's group was about to leave when they decided to go inside to see the event. If someone from CAIR was videotaping them, why shouldn’t they be able to do the same? They asked the police officers if it was alright to go inside to videotape. They said it was okay, as long as they didn’t disrupt anything. Two of Joe's folks went in. As they reached the entrance to the affair, they were stopped by two people. “This is a private event,” one said, as he put up his hand to stop them. Joe said they received permission from the officers. He repeated his statement a couple more times. Areeb Naseer rushed out to speak with the officers. Altaf Ali looked nervous and confused. Joes' group took CAIR totally by surprise.

In the end, the officers said, since it was a “private” event they had to abide by what they were telling them. Joe's colleague stated that it was a public place – the center was owned by the city – and that they should be able to pass through. With all of the preceding questions, a new question arose: Why did they not want them inside? Keith Ellison is running for public office. Why was this a “private meeting”? What was being said inside that made it so private?

These are questions that Keith Ellison's constituents should have asked. Ellison came all the way to South Florida from Minnesota, less than one month before his election, to a private meeting that no one knows about, attended by only a small number of people, with individuals guarding the entranceway, an event sponsored by a group that has numerous ties to Islamic terrorism.

By the way, the homepage of Keith Ellison’s website offers a glaring contradiction to his mysterious Florida meeting. On it, he states, “Between now and November 7 -- and for as long as I have the privilege of serving you in Congress -- I'm going to be seeking opportunities for us to connect face-to-face. I'd like you and your neighbors to join me in town hall discussions around the district where we can talk about the issues that are important to us: the challenges we face and the successes we want to build on.”

Joe writes in his column, how is Mr. Ellison going to “connect face-to-face” with his constituents, when he’s in another state and he won’t even let the public into his events? It’s just one more question that needs to be answered.

Minnesotans - and the rest of America - should have demanded to know these answers, before they voted this CAIR lapdog into office.

It's too late now, ain't it. Well, congratulations, Democrats, you stupid idiots. You've started with the wrong foot forward. But don't worry, we'll be watching the other stupid mistakes you're all bound to make because your entire party is made up of several-hundred thousand enemy sympathizers and all of them are living within the US. Lovely. Phucking lovely.

Oh well, I pleaded with you all to stop being puppets but you wouldn't listen. If you think America was going down the drain, wait and watch how the Democrats really phuck it up.

And I'll be proud to place a new bumper sticker on my car with the same pride that all of the dumbasses who still have John Kerry stickers on their Volkswagen Jettas and Toyota Camrys, that will say:

Want to be a loser? Vote Democrat."

Good luck, Demo-dummies. We'll be laughing at you from the sidelines.

Standing Against Hate

The event mentioned in the following article was held yesterday, October 14.. To find more about what happened, click on Americans Against Hate, here.

From Standing Against Hate:

On Saturday, October 14, 2006, Americans Against Hate (AAH) will be leading a protest against the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Minnesota Candidate for U.S. Congress Keith Ellison, and Florida Gubernatorial Candidate Jim Davis. The protest will be taking place at the Southwest Focal Point Senior Center, in Pembroke Pines, Florida, which is playing host to a CAIR sponsored event featuring Ellison as Keynote Speaker.

The reason for the protest is to call attention to the fact that both Ellison and Davis have accepted campaign donations from CAIR officials. According to records, Keith Ellison received contributions from CAIR's National Executive Director Nihad Awad and CAIR's Government Affairs Director Corey Sawyer. As well, according to records, Jim Davis has received a contribution from the Communications Director of CAIR-Florida Ahmed Bedier.

AAH calls this a conflict of interest and a betrayal of the voters, as CAIR has been linked to convicted terrorists, terrorist acts and terrorist groups overseas. CAIR was incorporated in June of 1994 by three leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), a Hamas front co-founded by the number two leader in Hamas today, Mousa Abu Marzook. Two of CAIR's former representatives are currently serving jail time for conducting terrorist activities with groups connected to Hamas and Al-Qaeda. And CAIR is currently the defendant in a lawsuit for the murder of an FBI Agent who was killed during the 9/11 attacks.

Both Awad and Bedier, two of the campaign contributors, have made disturbing statements with regard to terrorist organizations. Awad stated, in March of 1994, "…I am in support of the Hamas movement more than the PLO." And Bedier, in December of 2005, when asked if he believed Sami Al-Arian's association with Palestinian Islamic Jihad was immoral, said, "To a certain degree. Now, before 1995, there was nothing immoral about it." In addition, in July of 2006, Bedier co-hosted a radio show entirely devoted to praise for Hezbollah.

AAH Chairman and founder of CAIR Watch, Joe Kaufman, who will be speaking at the protest, stated,
"It is beyond bad taste and completely unacceptable for candidates seeking high positions within the U.S. government to accept money from those individuals that support terrorist organizations and who are connected to a group whose former officials include convicted terrorists. This is nothing more than a betrayal of the voters of Minnesota and Florida."
Remember, folks in Minnesota, do not vote for Keith Ellison, and to folks in Florida, do not vote for Jim Davis, both of whom who have accepted campaign donations from CAIR officials.
