After a vehicle in Ramallah refused to stop as requested by Palestinian military intelligence forces on Thursday, they opened fire at the vehicle, missed, and accidentally killed a teenager standing nearby. In response, the boy's family members began attacking PA security officers and set fire to police vehicles. The rioters also vandalized several shops in the city. Several hours later, an agreement was reached with the family members, promising that the dead youth
would be declared a "shahid" (martyr) and his family members would be compensated by the PA.
