Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett revealed during a discussion in the British Parliament that Iran is continuing to transfer weapons, money, and manpower from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards to Hizballah in Lebanon. During the month-long war, which began on July 12, Hezbollah fired 200 to250 rockets a day into Israel, killing 43 civilians and terrorising much ofthe north of the country. Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, has confirmed the Israeliestimate. In a recent interview with al-Manar, the Hezbollah televisionstation, he claimed his organisation had restocked its arsenal and now heldat least 30,000 rockets, sufficient for five months of war.
