Plenty of air activity last night and today.

Kassams shot into the Negev but 3 shooters dead along with 12 other Gazan terrorists. The Army is in 5 mile deep in one place in Rafiach and 3 miles deep in another place.

Just before the entrance of the holy Shabbos, my neighbor's son, Yair was called up for training that started on Shabbos. His brother, Yeshai was in Lebanon last week but this week is guarding somewhere else. I went over to pull my Chavrutha away from his du-family
neighbor only to heare that one son and son-in-law are in Lebanon and one son in Gaza so they postponed their vacation to the States.

Israeli commandos made a daring raid into Tyre (Sidon) last light killing 3 Hizballah commanders and trying to take one captive but he died of his wounds on the way. They had to fight the Lebanese Army and needed air cover to get away. We suffered some wounded commandos so all was not a complete miracle.

Elsewhere:

The IDF said that some 40 Hizbullah operatives were killed in the eastern sector since the beginning of the fighting.

In a later operation, IDF troops identified and destroyed a rocket launcher in the village of Bint Jbail, in the central sector of southern Lebanon on Saturday.

The launcher was aimed at the northern town of Ma'a lot, the IDF said.

Police: Anti-war protestors threw feces

Small group of anarchists goes wild at end of one-hour march in Tel Aviv street. According to police, protestors refused to evacuate road, hurled sticks, eggs and bags containing excrement at police officers. Two anarchist activists were arrested Saturday evening during a demonstration held in Tel Aviv in protest of the Israel
Defense Forces operation in
Lebanon. The weekly demonstration of left-wing activists began at King George Street, near Dizengoff Center, and continued in a march on the road toward Nahalat Binyamin, with the protestors blocking the road for traffic.

In spite of the arrangement reached with the police, according to which only 1,500 protestors would take part in the march, twice the number of protestors arrived at the place, and it was anyway okayed by the police.
