Tributes from all sections of the British-Jewish community to former Union of Jewish Students chairman Alan Senitt have been coming in following his brutal murder on Sunday morning in Washington DC.
Alan Senitt, 27, was killed in an apparent robbery and rape attempt of his girlfriend. According to the report, Alan Senitt was walking his girlfriend home in Washington’s Georgetown neighborhood before dawn on Sunday when he was stabbed to death.
The SomethingJewish.co.uk Web site said he subsequently was active in Labor Party politics, pro-Israel activism and Muslim-Jewish dialogue.
The Washington District Police have arrested and charged four people with the murder. Twenty-five year-old Christopher Piper and 22 year-old Jeffrey Rice have been charged with felony murder while armed. Both men live in the of the 2700 block of Robinson Place Southeast.
Piper is also charged with the attempted sexual assault of Senit's female companion during the Georgetown robbery.
Gentile said that around 1 p.m., 26-year-old Olivia Miles of the unit block of Crittenden Street, Northeast and a 15-year-old boy turned themselves into police. They've both been charged with felony murder.
