Earlier today, July 24 2006, the IDF carried out an aerial attack in Gaza City, targeting the main weapons storage facility of the Islamic Jihad terror organization in Gaza city. The facility had been used, among other things, for the assembly and storage of Katyusha rockets.
A number of Islamic Jihad terrorists who were inside the facility were apparently hit during the attack.
The attack is part of a series of attacks by IDF over the past day targeting weapons facilities in the Gaza Strip.
The IDF will continue to act with determination against Palestinian terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip to create the conditions for the return of Corporal Gilad Shalit and to stop terror attacks and the launching of rockets against Israel.
