We want to thank BLACKFIVE for bringing the story of Spc. Nathaniel A. Aguirre to our attention with his blog post yesterday. The airing of a enemy sniper video has recently been the cause of emotional debate. In this edition of The Nature of the Enemy, we see what the enemy has to say on this issue.
We do not hear much about Yemen when the War on Terror is discussed. The enemy would like to bring, “A new dawn of jihad and martyrdom on the land of Yemen.” Read about it in, Nature of the Enemy.
On 7 November, a jihadist website posted the first statement issued by "Al-Qa'ida of Jihad Organization in the Land of Yemen " in which the group claimed responsibility for attacks on oil facilities in Hadramut, Yemen. The statement was attributed to the Information Department of "Al-Qa'ida of Jihad Organization in the Land of Yemen.
“Al-Qa'ida of Jihad in Yemen brings the Muslim nation good tidings of a new dawn of jihad and martyrdom on the land of Yemen after the wheel of jihad was halted by the tribulations that inflicted the mujahidin resulting in the death of some, may God accept them as martyrs, the detention of others in the dungeons of the false Gods, homelessness, and sentencing in absentia of many while the rest either fell in the trap of the 'improvement of conditions' initiative and cooperated with the false God regime or persevered according the will of the Almighty”.
