Players from the Jewish soccer club TuS Maccabi of Berlin from the sixth regional amateur league in Germany were the subject of numerous anti-Semitic chants and left the pitch in the 78th minute in their match against VSG Altglienicke from eastern Berlin. The players complained to the German soccer administration and claimed that the referee refused to intervene when fans and even a few players shouted at them slurs such as, "gas the Jews," "Auschwitz is coming back," and "Fuehrer, Fuehrer."
Germany remains pathetic and detestable.
