An IDF soldier was killed and five lightly wounded yesterday when a Hezbollah anti-tank missile struck an engineering vehicle and an infantry force advancing with it in the village of Debel, in the western sector of southern Lebanon. The wounded were evacuated to hospitals for medical treatment. Their families were notified.
IDF forces eliminated at least 15 Hezbollah terrorists during operations in the same village.
IDF will continue to operate decisively to defend the citizens of Israel from terror attacks originating from Lebanon and to bring about conditions leading to the release and safe returns home of the two kidnapped soldiers, Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser.
