Iran invested $100 million in Hizballah

Head of the IDF Intelligence Corps Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin said that Iran has invested $100 million to reinforce the terrorist group Hizballah in Lebanon. Iran is financially backing this current operation and has supplied the group in the past.

“Iran is invested in Hizballah terror up to its neck,” Yadlin said.

Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Moshe Kaplinski told cabinet ministers today that there has not been a decrease in the amount of Katyushas launched against territory in Israel, but there is a definite decrease in injuries. The general reported continued attempts to smuggle arms into Lebanon via Syria.

Defense Minister Amir Peretz said that since the start of the confrontation Hizballah has launched 2,200 Katyusha rockets and mortars at Israeli civilians and soldiers. Yuval Diskin, head of Israel’s internal security, said the situation in Gaza is still unclear regarding a ceasefire agreement.
