Those who curse the Jews and those who bless them

Folks, I'm a little ticked off at the flak I get when I praise a Christian on my site. To tell people who send tens of millions of dollars to poor Israelis and who place enormous pressure on the Bush administration never to abandon Israel that they are not real friends is to be ungrateful at best and treacherous at worst.

Genesis (12:3): "And I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse; and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed."

Dennis Prager confirms here:

There are many reasons for the support of conservative Christians for Israel -- along with social conservatives, the only group giving such support -- but their belief that God blesses those who bless the Jews and curses those who curse the Jews plays a central role. It is the United States that has, since its inception, most blessed the Jews and that does so almost alone today -- in its support of the Jewish state against those who wish to exterminate it. By almost any reckoning, America has been, and remains, the most blessed of countries.

Christians and Jews could not bear arms -- Muslims could;
Christians and Jews could not ride horses -- Muslims could;
Christians and Jews had to get permission to build -- Muslims did not;
Christians and Jews had to pay certain taxes which Muslims did not;
Christians could not proselytize -- Muslims could;
Christians and Jews had to bow to their Muslim masters when they paid their taxes; and
Christians and Jews had to live under the law set forth in the Koran, not under either their own religious or secular law.

Folks, Israel is not just a Jewish issue. Millions of Christians resolutely endorse the principle of peace with security for the state of Israel. Christians work closely together with Jews and speak with a united voice.

But, did you hear the one about the Jews who paid a thousand dollars a plate to hear Bill Clinton speak — after he sold Israel down the river (by rewarding genocide bombings with more land)? Yes, it was Jews who supported Bill Clinton.

Julia Gorin, in her article Palestinians: "Death to Israel!": writes:

Jews: "…East Jerusalem, Golan Heights — "

Palestinians: "Kill the Jews!"

Evangelicals: "Stop, this isn't going well; you can't kill the Je — "

Jews: "Hey — we're negotiating here! Will you stay out of it?"

Evangelicals: "But you're signing your death warrant!"

Jews: "Stop trying to convert me!"

Is that what some of you are concerned about? Conversion? Julia Gorin continues:

The only protection Jews have been able to count on has come from Evangelicals, the people at the forefront of keeping G-d in the public square in America — something that Foxman's namesake, the original Abraham, was a champion of. Likewise, atheists are a lot safer in Christian countries than Christians are in atheist countries. And yet Dumb Jews harbor nothing but suspicion and contempt for these people, even though it's hard to name even one prominent, non-Jewish liberal who is a defender of Israel. Dumb Jews haven't even figured out that their beloved secularism is what brought college campuses here and in Europe to the point where they're no longer safe for Jews.

And lastly, Terry Mattingly wrote about David Klinghoffer, the Orthodox Jew, who feels the same way as I do:

It's time for everyone to be more honest, he said.

"I don't see anything that is to be gained for Judaism by going out of our way to antagonize a Mel Gibson or to antagonize as many traditional Christians as we possibly can. I think we have been yelling 'Fire!' in a crowded theater," Klinghoffer said.

"To put it another way, I don't think it's very wise for a few Jewish leaders to try to tell millions of Christians what they are supposed to believe. Would we want some Christians to try to edit our scriptures and to tell us what we should believe?"

Folks, it is the plague of Islamism that keeps on spreading.

If you have been a frequent visitor to my site, I do not hedge the fact that the history of Israel is being rewritten by Muslims, Leftists, and self-hating, delusional Jews (actually, they don't hate themselves. They love themselves. They just hate other Jews.)

Islam has not and will not experience a Reformation because it is immutable by design.

Please spare me the irrelevant and inaccurate equivalency arguments regarding Christianity. The concept of jihad is unique to Islam. It is the only religion specifically designed to wage endless war until it subjugates the entire world.

For the majority, Christians are our friends. And on this site, I focus on the here and now. And although ancient history is a fascinating subject, the current jihad is a bit more pressing. Maybe you didn't hear about the Reformation; it changed Christianity's attitude. It occurred centuries ago.

When you hear about Christians beheading the enemies of Jesus, let me know. When you see apostates executed by priests, let me know. When you see Christian adulterers stoned to death by crazed mobs, let me know.

We are all familiar with the Bible and Christianity's history, neither of which is relevant to Islam's immutable doctrine and today's events.

The key word is TODAY, folks. Today. Concentrate on today. The fact is, if Islam underwent a reformation - even once - in its cruel and barbaric 1400 year history, this entire planet would be a much, much safer place.
