Folks, I received the following in an email from the Shalem Center and I thought you would be interested in reading a preview article from the forthcoming issue of Azure, which explores the significance of Dr. Eilat Mazar’s recent finding in Jerusalem and the likelihood of whether it is, in fact, King David’s palace.
The short essay is by David Hazony, editor-in-chief of Azure.
The finding smashes prevailing theories in archaeology, Hazony writes: “Even if this is not in fact David’s palace, there is no doubt that we are still talking about an archaeological find of enormous moment. Whether it is a citadel, someone else’s palace, or a temple, it is the first-ever discovery of a major construction from the early Israelite period in Jerusalem to date.”
The article is online here.
A content-rich information fact and opinion blog that advocates, educates, professes, affirms, defends and furnishes facts while restoring truth to the Middle East narrative about the legitimate and sovereign nation of Israel. On the internet with news and opinions from the right since 2003, and on forum boards, blasting Arabists, neo-nazis, Islamists and other Jew-haters, since 1999.
