American Congress for Truth

American Congress for Truth, ACT, is dedicated to inform, inspire and motivate Americans throughout society in ways to act against the terrorism and threat radical Islamic fundamentalists pose to Jews, Christians and non-Muslims worldwide. ACT has given numerous presentations through spokesperson Brigitte Gabriel using radio, television and over a hundred live lectures to universities, religious, civic and business organizations.

Brigitte Gabriel is a Lebanese speaking out about the threat of militant Islam to America and Western civilization. As a survivor of the Moslem versus Christian civil war in Lebanon, she has experienced first hand the religious war being waged against both Christians and Jews in America and in the rest of the world.

Ms. Gabriel grew up in war torn Lebanon, where the Moslems declared Jihad on the Christians in 1975. The Lebanese Civil War was the first front in the worldwide Jihad of militant Islam against the only Christian influenced country in the Middle East. Her family's home was shelled and destroyed leaving her wounded. She lived underground in a bomb shelter from age 10 to age 17 without electricity and very little food. She had to crawl under sniper bullets to a spring to fetch water for her family.

As fighting escalated, the Moslems overran all but hers' and a nearby town. The besieged Christians turned to neighboring Israel for help. The Israeli Defense Forces responded with food, water, and military support. As Brigitte came in greater contact with Israel through soldiers and doctors brought to the hospital in her town, she began to see the human side of people her Arabic culture, government and society had told her were the "enemy" for many years.

During the Israeli army's "Operation Peace for Galilee" invasion of Lebanon in 1982, to push back terrorist attacks from Lebanon on its northern boarder, Moslem shells wounded her mother who was sent to a hospital in Zefat, Israel. There, Brigitte experienced a deep compassion and life style from the Israelis she met that solidified her appreciation for Israel and fueled her determination to leave the Arab world.

She soon moved to Jerusalem and became anchor for "World News," an evening Arabic news broadcast for Middle East Television seen throughout Israel, Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. She covered the Israeli withdrawal from central Lebanon, the Israeli Security Zone and the Palestinian uprising in the West Bank. Her work is of international scope having brought her in contact with world figures such as Margaret Thatcher, George H. Bush, Queen Nour El Hussein, Itzak Rabine, and Shimon Perez.

Brigitte lived in Israel from 1984 to 1989 and relocated to the Unites States. She is fluent in Arabic, French, English and Hebrew.

Her perspective comes from her experiences and those of other Arab Christians. She sees what Moslems have done to Arab Christians as being indicative of Islamic intentions towards Israel and America. Her inside information is enlightening for unsuspecting and uninformed western civilized thinking audiences. She has appeared on news and information TV shows, talk radio and made numerous public appearances. Her views are seen as a pertinent warning to the West.
