CABINET APPROVES DISENGAGEMENT PLAN AND EVACUATION OF 4 GROUPS OF COMMUNITIES
(Communicated by the Prime Minister's Media Adviser) Sunday, 20 February, 2005
The Cabinet, a short while ago today (Sunday), 20.2.05, voted 17-5 to approve the Disengagement Plan and the evacuation of four groups of communities. The Cabinet will reconvene close to the evacuation of each group of communities in order to discuss the then existing circumstances and whether or not they affect the evacuation.
[IMRA: The Prime Minister's Media Adviser's Office explained to IMRA that while the Cabinet will "discuss" the situation before the evacuation of each group that no "decision" will be required. Thus, unless Prime Minister Ariel Sharon should decide to hold a vote at such "discussions" no vote will be taken and the evacuation will be carried out.]
