A Bauchi-based Islamic Scholar, S-heikh Idris Abdul-azeez, has emphasized the need for Muslim faithfuls to distance themselves from the negative influence of western lifestyles in their day-to-day activities.
At a Jumat service in his Dutsen Tanshi Mosque, Bauchi, the cleric attributed the increase in moral decadence and corruption in public and private lives to the increasing lack of the fear of Allah among Nigerians.
The Islamic teacher made reference to the on-going bloodshed in the middle East and the deposition of the Iraqi leader, Saddam Huss-ain, as a manifestation of the divine intervention, which will occur soon or later against despotic leaders.
