Major Policy Change Announced

Heaven has announced a major change in policy regarding Israel:

My heart is changed within me; all my compassion is aroused. Though in anger I struck you, in favor I will show you compassion. Just as I watched over you to uproot and tear down, and to overthrow, destroy and bring disaster, so I will watch over you to build and to plant. For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you. Now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as I did in the past. As you have been an object of cursing among the nations, O Judah and Israel, so will I save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong. Just as I had determined to bring disaster upon you and showed no pity when your fathers angered me, so now I have determined to do good again to Jerusalem and Judah. Do not be afraid. I will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.
